For BBC Chairman: Explain Your Involvement in Port Klang Free Zone Scandal

Police report on questionable RM1.81 billion PKA/ Westports land deal

The Port Klang Free Zone Complex at Westport, Pulau Indah. Another ‘white elephant’ in the making?

The New Straits Times (September 20, 2008) captioned its front page, REVEALED: ‘Secret Offers’ to woo BN MPs. The full report appears on page 4. The UMNO controlled paper which has been spinning and putting out outrageous stories on behalf of the Badawi government carried the comments of Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing, Barisan Nasional Backbenchers Club chairman. He alleges that “[S]ome prominent businessmen are in cahoots with the opposition to get Barisan Nasional members of Parliament to defect from the ruling coalition”.

There was also a comment by Kota Belud MP Datuk Abdul Rahman Dahlan, that a vote of no-confidence should be tabled in Parliament against Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as Leader of the Opposition. There is, as he himself knows, no basis for such a move. The reality is that the UMNO-Barisan Nasional is doing its best to prevent Anwar Ibrahim and Pakatan Rakyat from taking over the government from lame duck Prime Minister, Abdullah Badawi by constitutional means, and denying the Malaysian people their wish to have a change in the leadership of our country.

Let us not forget that Badawi is today’s the most unpopular Prime Minister in our country’s 51 year history as an independent nation. His leadership is taking us towards the day of infamy. The New Straits Times must know that the winds of change is unstoppable and the mood of Malaysians for change is getting stronger by the day.

More importantly, both Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing and Datuk Rahman Dahlan reflect the quality and character of some of the BN parliamentarians. They lack ideas and principles; they are only motivated by money and position; democracy, freedom and justice are meaningless to them, yet these are what the Malaysian people want , and they want them urgently.

As for Datuk Seri Tiong, he should come out in the open and explain his involvement with a group of key UMNO and MCA politicians in the Port Kelang Free Zone scandal, where they made huge profits (hundreds of millions of ringgit) from the sale of land [PN 7324 nr. 67894] in Pulau Indah at the expense of a local cooperative in a convoluted deal. Exploiting the rakyat is not really help them. In my book, it is cheating the rakyat by denying them of a fair deal.

On PKFZ, I am reminded of the assurance given by MCA Presidential candidate, Dato Ong Tee Keat, who promised when he took over the Ministry of Transport that he would investigate and make a full disclosure on the PKFZ scandal, including the reasons why a respected Middle East investor group withdrew from this deal with the Port Kelang Authority. He has yet to keep his word.

The New Straits Times also carried the comments of the ACA Chief. It reported that “ACA Director-General Datuk Seri Ahmad Said Hamdan said [that his] offciers would monitor such cases but needed the full co-operation of MPs…He said MPs must report to his agency of any inducement offered to defect the opposition”.

Datuk Seri Ahmad Said’s comments (if the NST is accurate and reliable and has not misquoted him) give him and the ACA away. He and his agency are clearly nothing but tools of the government in power to prosecute opposition politicians and intimidate those who of their own volition are prepared to join Pakatan Rakyat in its efforts to save the economy and rebuild our country, and usher in a government which is committed to democracy, freedom, justice and good governance.

My advice to the ACA Director-General is that he should be fighting corruption which transcends race, color and politics. He should investigate the PFKZ scandal which directly implicates Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing and his cohorts, and other major corruption cases.

As far as Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing is concerned, he must realise that he is living in a glass house and that being the case, he should not throw stones at Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his colleagues in Pakatan Rakyat. Finally, what did you and Bung Radin Mokhtar do in Taiwan recently? The ACA should investigate you and your Deputy Backbencher chairman. —Din Merican

  1. So much funds has been poured into PKFZ. Indeed, the public would like to have a full and frank disclosure over this venture. It is only fair that the Government does so.

  2. What do you expect from Kali controlled leafleft other than to spin hogwash and engage in scatological dirty work. Anyway, Dr Bakri Musa has got on article on the limp. Put it up here as usual. By the way, this buffoon Kota Belud moron is a well known KJ puusyfooter who has no direction and he is an incorrigable liar, so there is no need to mind his ilk. Move on.
    ___________
Abdullah, I can’t agree that we “move on”. We need to expose all Kota Belud and Kinabatangan MP types and take action. Their constituents need to know what their MPs are doing behind their backs.—Din Merican

  3. This spineless leech knows that he do not have to answer to anything.

You will hear more of him with NTR soon.

Serve his father-in-law right in being savagely beaten up by Lee Loong in Sibu over a RM60,000 debt.As for his, he (Datuk Tiong) dare not even lodge a report after the incident when he was stop and shown bullets and ask him to bladly shut up after raising the issue of gangsterism in Parliament.

A lot of Sarawakian thought he was a hero, but now many realise he is no less than a wolve in a sheep’s skin.
    ___________
    Banker,
Thanks and welcome.Good news. The public must be informed and that is why we need a free and independent media. You will get that when the Pakatan Rakyat forms a Competent, Accountable and Transparent government. We have had enough of scandals, abuse of power, and corruption.

Even the ACA needs to be reformed urgently. We must get rid of political types in the ACA. We can follow the Hongkong, Singapore and the New South Wales way of fighting this societal scourge. Look at Sweden and Denmark where their societies have zero tolerance of corrupt politicans, business executives, and public officials.—Din Merican

  4. Din,

Pls make a list of questionable actions, projects and deals by present government yet to be investigated by the ACA ie the Submarine deal, PKFZ, land grab, purchase of jet, mansion in Australia,Teresa Kok case etc. This list should be posted to pressure action from ACA and Police.

  5. Leaders must live and die for democracy

When political parties exploit the strong arm of the law against their opponents, democracy comes under siege.

The sequel of political events that have seen various statements and warnings being dished out by enforcers and guardians of law, in no uncertain terms desecrates the rule of law and the fundamental of democracy.

When political party survival takes precedence over nation building and harmony, democracy comes under siege.

What good will it serve Malaysia when we fail to honor, respect, support and collaborate upon the outcome of a general election that is claimed to be free and fair?

What good will it serve in the democratic interests of the citizens of a nation when leaders and political party wigs take a libertarian approach in ensuring the survival of their party interests?

What good will it serve the much respected and revered monarchy of a nation when despite the royalty’s repeated and wise reminders, politicians persist with their antics of divide-and-rule strategy for the sole purpose of party survival?

Let not this young nation walk the slippery slope that other third world nations have fallen into owing to misguided democracy.

Let not this promising developing nation we all love and will die for, be robbed of its democratic fundamentals that gave it meaning 51 years ago.

Politicians must stop their preaching and rhetoric. They must start listening to the democratic right of its citizens.

Politicians must stop placing their party politics above a nationhood that has democracy as its cornerstone. The nation of people give political parties the space and meaning to serve democracy.

Politicians must serve the democratic nation of people and King and not demand that the electorate serve political interests.

But when all roads lead to a dead end, it might just be too late for democracy to resuscitate. The price that other fallen nations are paying has to ultimately borne by the commoner.

We must stop this war on democracy.

Politicians and leaders must remember that the rakyat’s will to die for ones country in defense of its very democracy on which its independence is founded will prevail if politicians continue to be deaf, dumb and blind to fundamentals of democratic values and principles.

Leaders please find your ‘Golden Mean’.

Cooperate, collaborate and support the outcome of the general elections and get back to work in that spirit of democracy for you have already squandered six months.

    Semenyih

  6. Time has changed. No one can stop this change. It’s pay back time. If you are still wise, you all crooked MPs should cooperate now to shut your mouths. The gomen has to be changed for the future of your and my next generation. Or the universal righteous forces will make sure you all be legally punished.

  7. i used to have a fair bit of respect for this tiong. he had done a fair bit for the people here. but all this bit of respect is fast evaporating with his recent actions. very disgusted by his involvement in the port klang mess. not like aca will act with under the present bn /umno rule.
PR needs to come on and i hope that it happens very very soon.

  8. When I glanced the headline while walking pass a book store, my first impression is that it can only be spoken by a running dog while the country and people suffers. These BN reps project such a low image of themselves.

Democracy, freedom, justice and good governance mean nothing to them. They worship money and practise oppression, corruption, injustice and manipulation. They also like to make (spin) police reports. They will be rightly cursed for seven generations.

  9. The management of New Strait Times are spineless people. They derive their strength by being used as tools. This reminds me of cases in Germany during the holocaust, where all the Nazis were blaming their superiors for their misdeeds.

They do not have any character and principles. They are led. They are so much involved that they start justifying their actions. They are an insult to all writers everywhere.

I wonder how these people with such character has an effect on their own family and offspring’s. Children look at their parents as icons. They would also reflect their parents character – No principles. No leadership qualities. Just follow and blame someone else if caught. I pity them.

  10. nulibranch,
when PR takes over, the head honchos at ACA, PDRM, AG will be removed and replaced by apoliticals who are not dogs actings at the behest of the ruling coalition. Right DIN?\leo
    ____________
Yes, leo but not by being injust. We are not on a witchhunt, but good and competent people will be chosen to reform and lead all our institution, even the universities. Only apolitical types with the right track record need to apply.—Din Merican

  11. Din don’t forget that rahman pahlil fellow as he was the one to screw the coop in the first place and believe me there are more names.

  12. Bro,

The bn-umno gov can beat us, spray us with chemical, jailed us and humilated us, we can forgive them. The land and money they stole from the rakyat, this they have to pay back. I want to see how they face life in jail.

  13. Sorry for diversion:
Just to share someone who wrote:

Good day all loving folks here
Thank God for another new day! God always have a funny way to get things done and Timing is something He is really good at.

Malaysia is changing, and IT WILL and MUST CHANGED!!! A breakthrough is at hand. Continue to pray and remain steadfast.

Are we addressing symptomatic or arresting the root cause?
    That is the question!

(May 1969) 39 Yrs of harboring this virus. It ‘was’ the deadliest pandemic in recorded Malaysia history. Untold casualties, includes lost of lives to lost of moral attitude, from fear of life to migration of population, from bondages of mental to physical degredation are almost a everyday affair.

    BREAKTHROUGH!!

Finally, this Chronic Degenerative Disease have a name. Its called “mahathirism” and the virus have been identify!! Its called ‘UmnoRhatred virus -UrV-1e” If left uncheck, can turn deadly. Epidemiology studies shows that the incidence are prevalent across all races and outbreaks are common and peeks during Election Year. Perennial symptoms includes: debilitating Economy plus constant moral decay (By Tunku Aziz). A complete history of this desease can be obtain from M’siakini “Mahathirism the cause of BN unravelling”.

It is a retrovirus because it changes (2 faces) and mutates quickly but needed a host (Rakyat -Malays, Chinese, Indians, kadazan, Ibans) to multiply and eventually renders death. By itself, it is dead. It becomes alive when it come in contact with a living (Rakyat) host cell. The maintenance and survival of this virus requires constant feed of nutrient called RH ( Race based politic as well as Religion Based politic that create unneccesary Hatred eg, Malay and Chinese, or Indians or Islam vs Non-Islam) Once infected, The natural Immune System T4 cells ( Home Minister and Police ) instead of protecting the citizens are now, other than being dormant ( ineffective ) are now creating damaged ( ISA ) to the healthy host cell (Rakyat).

    TREATMENT

A new Dawn is at Hand. Now, it is possible not just treating the symptom but actually eradicating the root cause as well. Timing couldn’t be better. Both the root causation Virus (Mr Recalcitrant ) and its viral Sons and daughter (Current Umno, MCA, Gerakan, MIC) is resurfacing ( expose ) into the blood stream ( public media ), it is the best opportunity barr none to eradicate it ‘Totally”. Due to its narrow ( Time sensitive ) “Window period” , It is crucial and critical to eradicate this virus now! This antidote Vaccines ( PKE and Opposition Party cross over ) must be injected with a booster dose ( Next Tues Parliament sitting ), or Initial Double jab ( PKR and Rakyat ) equally effective.

What we learn about God’s Timing?

    Abbr : ‘UmnoRhatred = Umno R=Race/Religion based Politic / hatred= Hatred
    UrV-1e
    U = Umno
    r = Race/Religion
    V = Virus
    1= 1st time occurring since may 1969
e= END : Must not be repeated at any cost!

Ppl this is it. Stay focus, Stay Resolve, Stay Oneness. PKR shall prevail!! A New Damn Sky Open!

  14. It’s difficult to get thieves to own up their crimes. This Tiong fella will plead ignorance and blame others for the “oversight”. That’s the way with thieves. Unless you put them away for good they will continue to plunder.

Conscience? They have none. Remorse? Not a bit. That’s BN politicians for you. I just wonder how these goons can show a straight face. They must be real thick – through and through.

  15. I have reached a point where the mere mention of names like Badawi, Mahathir, Najib, Syed Hamid, Nazri, Samy Velu and the retinue of goons from BN, especially Umno, will give me goose pimples, not to mention the sight of them on national TV or in the mainstream media. Don’t these idiots realise that Malaysians simply hate their guts?

I don’t know how you guys feel but I am certain there is no love lost. Right?

Just got an email from a good friend in Brisbane and he too said the same.

To all these goons – “Leave you have overstayed your welcome. Belah. Chow. Poodah”.

  16. Tok Cik

They have years of experience stealing with a straight face, lying about the truth, and being the holiest in the land -with their immense mosques, temples and churches that they attend without fail to jest at us for our stupidity. That are the crooks of Barisan Nasional.

We are a country led by a bunch of crooks, hypocrites and bigots.

That is how people like Ayoyosamy and Bola Hangus at Susan Loone’s blog prefers, a country of corrupt leaders and a Zimbabwe in the making.

  17. This act of the BBC Chairman, this dirt Tiong, the PKFZ scandal left unscathed under Dollah is the grievest robbery right under our very nose! 😦

We’ll have to plod and install a legitimate government and we know people like Anwar Ibrahim and many others, including our friend Din Merican, will not rest until we heal all the wrongs done in the past, and start the greening of Malaysia!

  18. Dino,
I believe Price Waterhouse has still not recievd any appointment letter to start an audit of PKFZ accounts, but I stand corrected here. To date, nobody could tell me.

But why bother, perhaps nothing will come out of it anyway especially with the Bintulu Foo Chow mafia firmly in control there. So let’s go change the govt first ..
    ____________
Mariner Captain, I agree; nothing will happen until Anwar becomes Prime Minister. I just wanted this Tiong s.o.b. fella to know that he cannot get away with remarks that question the integrity of Pakatan Rakyat and Anwar Ibrahim. He is a disgrace and an ass. Go to Zorro’s blog. He has an interesting rejoinder. Great to see.—Din Merican

  19. Fuck Tiong King Sing. He thought he is burung tiong, the king and can sing. Explain it, the so-called mp. or go go and bloody go fuck your asshole.

  20. ACA has so far gone after or succeeded with the small fry. With so many leads and Planks In The Eye,it’s amazing the sharks continue to swim away. Our country is in dire need of truth, justice and funds. How about guiding the ACA again to the priority list: Submarine deals, PKA of course, the ones that have gone into billions. Its not so much the witchhunt, it’s the about the nation’s ailing coffers.

  21. Tok Cik, right on bro. but they have gut so small. and that they used to cheat and trick the rakyat. no kind words can quite described those idiot, self-centred moroon but just one , “fuck them”.

  22. Dear Din,
The PKFZ scandal is a big embarrassment to Malaysia, to say the least, as the international maritime and business community are fully aware of what happened and who were involved in it. Malaysian politicians blatantly abused their positions and got away with billions of taxpayers money. They then tried to camouflage it all by trying to bring in a reputable and respectable Islamic based foreign company into their scheme of things. Obviously, this foreign company smelled rats and pull out at the discussion stage. No doubt, this one should be at the top of your list to be exposed when PR comes into power.
Btw, any ideas what you are going to do with the Govt mouth pieces..? The likes of Bernama, NST, Utusan, TV3, RTM, etc. are full of puppets that spin every single piece of news and information! They are a rotten lots, Din, so they should be exposed as well!

  23. din,

you think the ACA is going to investigate this goon’s hands in the Port Klang Fleece (free for who?) Trade Zone though the project is tainted with corruption and stinks all the way to hell. No way, Jose unless this corrupt BN is kicked out and replace by PR.
And if that happens, this Tiong fella will be the first to migrate to the deep jungles of Zimbabwee to avoid arrest.
Ask this fella to stop talking about corruption coz he does not understand that word.

  24. All of them ACA,MCA,MIC,GERAKAN,etc are eunuchs. No more balls-already castrated by the UMNO goons. That’s why they cant seem to articulate well in front of the Loony Goons, balls bo leow ma. Are we any different from Burma or Zimbabwe? No wonder Malaysia did not protest strongly to Burma regarding the detention of Aung Sung Syu Kyi- birds of the same feather!

  25. what is umno doing to this country. see what umno leaders play up the game in agama. ask yourself any of the umno top leaders believe in their own religion – Islam.i bet u all that none of them r believe in the teaching of Islam.they play GOD instead of praying to the GOD. mahatir was the one started to play GOD.today u can see his cronies follow his footsteps and enhancing his devil doings up to the stage raping & killing an innocent woman – like Altantuya case.who is mahatir? a mamak , isn’t .so mamak plays out the real Malays by the name of muslim in Malaysia.the real Melayu must wake up now before it is too late.look at mahatir’s project in Sabah.letting all iilegal immigrants (mostly indonesians )enter into our country to kill & rob our people.bringing pakistan, bangledesh , african people into our country by the name of muslim ( regardless wether good or bad muslim ) to share our children’s future.can’t you real Melayu sees that Mahatir has indirectly reducing the real Malays population in this country.30 years down the road Malay race will be reduced substantially simply becos all the Malay woman marrying to this handsome immigrants & then everywhere in the street you go u only see a descendant of Malay-Pakistan,Malay-Bangledesh , Malay-African , Malay-Indonesia & etc.so , real Malay will be wipe out becos of this Mahatir’s stupid project.well , it is not toolate for u Malay to tell Mahatir go back to kerala, India.REJECT MAHATIR THIS LOVING COUNTRY OF MALAYSIA CAN BE EVEN MORE PROSPEROUS, TO KEEP MAHATIR THIS LOVING COUNTRY OF MALAYSIA WILL GO CORRUPTED.

  26. Wacthdog,
Please make up your mind, is he from Bangladesh or Kerala? They are quite far apart, you know.

Btw, I still have two vacancies left to be a judge in Miss Malaysian Indian Global contest in Dubai. Anybody interested? Otherwise, I ll give it to PM and ex-PM, who is said to be a mamak, anyway. I am sure he ll make a good judge as he has the experience in appointing judges!

  27. Tiong was the dirty insider and prime mover to destroy SNAP a component BN party then which now a opposition in Sarawak.Together with his other Dayakcroonies, they set up SPDP for their own politically gains. He bankrolled the party. He has got where he wanted now with his position to further destroy our country.

What agro study trip to Taiwan? Is it not a waste of our public funds. He has never in his position as MP Bintulu shown concerned and implemented any agriculture projects to help the rural poor where the strength of his party is based. All he has so far done to countrymen is to arrest some thugs who has threatened his family, A Justice of Peace in the doing?

With our country economy in doldrums bearing in mind the inflation shooting up, net oil importer in years coming, these are what the ruling elites do by sucking our money to make them financially richer without caring and neglecting totally the rural poorer. Come 24/9/08, let our PR come to power and sent these morons to the big house with iron bars.
