A Message to UMNO’s Hishamuddin Tun Hussein Onn: We MAF Veterans are Patriots and you are a Racist

By Major (R) Mior Rosli (TUDM) (received via e-mail)

I wish the Defence Minister, the Deputy Defence Minister read and listen to what I have to say very carefully.

Yesterday, you, Hishammudin accused Persatuan Patriot Kebangsaan of being Racist. I demand your apology to us because it is not us who are racist. It is you. Don’t you remember when you were the UMNO youth chief? You unsealth the Keris, waved it in the air and demand for Chinese blood? Isn’t that Racist and dangerous? The Police should have charged you under ISA, put you behind bars and throw the key. We don’t need Racist people like you leading a multi-racial country. Now just because the elections is round the corner you have the cheek to talk about increasing the number of non- Malays in the Armed Forces. Something that we have heard many many times over many many years. It is pure hogwash.

Let me tell you and all your bloody UMNO goons. THERE ARE NO RACIAL CONFLICTS NOR SENTIMENTS AMONG SOLDIERS WITHIN THE MAF. We have gone through tough and team training day and night for 6 months for the other ranks and 12 months training for the officers. We ate, slept, trained, sweat, cried and laughed together. After recruit or cadet training we were enlisted and Commission into various corps and services. Except for the Royal Malay Regiment, in all corps and services we were never bothered if one is a Malay, Chinese, Indian, Punjabi, IBAN or kadazan. Our loyalty only goes to our Commander whatever race and religion they are, to our Corps/services, to the MAF, to our King and country. That’s was how we were taught and trained.

During both the Emergencies (1948-1960/1960-1989), during the confrontation with Indonesia, and the war in Sarawak till the early 90s.. we fought like brothers to defend this country and  maintain the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and independence of this country. We make sure people like you to be safe and maintain your freedom in this country.

You were never there to see our comrades die,got their legs and arms blown off. You were never there to see how their wives and children cried when their husbands came back in coffins or without legs or arms.

You were born with a silver spoon. You are no more than a show off, a low down phony. Donning a military uniform, with a Commando beret, with senior airborne wings on your chest. You make many veterans sick, looking at your stupidity.

During the emergencies combating the CTs (Communist Terrorists) there were many non-Malays did clandestine operations, became agents inside the enemy troops and acted as rubber tappers, farmers, etc. Some were caught and killed.

Our pilots, many were non-Malays too were shot down, and when they did their rescue, bodivac and medical missions, don’t care the dead or injured were Malays, Chinese, Iban or Indians or what ever race they were.

Kanang Anak Langkau from the 8th Battalion of the Royal Ranger Regiment who became one of the most decorated war heroes in Malaysian military history was the grandson of an Iban headsman. Growing up in a remote part of Sarawak meant that a formal education was scarce, but Kanang was receiving a different kind of education as a child from his grandfather. Kanang would often follow his grandfather on hunting trips in the jungle where he was taught to read the signs of plants, the sounds of the animals, the smells in the wind, and the ways of becoming a tracker.

“Agi idup agi ngelaban!” ( “Still alive, still fighting”)

Today UMNO is kissing lips with the Communist Party of China (CPC). Having closed doors meetings…all for power and money and forgetting their sacrifice so that UMNO can continue to exist until today.

It is you and (UMNO) policy makers who try to separate and divide us racially. It is your party that makes the quotas for entry and promotions. It is your party that controls who should be generals and who should not.

Soldiering is a professional job. If you get unskilled people to be promoted, you will get a half-baked Armed Forces. A half baked Armed Forces will never be able to defend this country effectively.

If you want the Chinese to be seen of their loyalty, make the Armed Forces more professional and not political.

We, the veterans Armed Forces Officers and the ex-senior police officers are the real Patriots, more Patriotic than any of you, “power and kleptocracy” crazy politicians. DON’T EVER BELITTLE US. IF THERE IS A WAR TO DEFEND THIS SOIL, WE WILL BE THE SECOND OR THIRD LINERS BEHIND THE REGULAR FORCES TO DEFEND THIS COUNTRY… PLEASE DON’T MESS US UP WITH YOUR POLITICAL DREAMS!

Image result for Hishamuddin Hussein Onn is a racist

What your party are doing towards the MAF is degrading them, making them weak, making the Generals like puppets on strings until they do not know to differentiate between what is right and what is wrong.

You are making the Rakyat live in a “BOILING FROG SYNDROME”. The moment the Rakyat realised what happened to this country, it will be too late.

The problem with politicians like you is because you rose up not from grassroots leaders. From the beginning until now you are just “A TORTOISE ON A POLE”. Don’t know how you got up there. You are where you are because your father was the Prime Minister, if not you are nothing.

We who served from 1948- 1989/91, the majority are still very much alive. Your party betrayed us, ignored us, lied to us and many of us are struggling to live on with our lives, while over all these years you and your party members became kleptocrats and took away what actually belongs to us and the Rakyat.

May Allah curse all of you if you don’t realise what you did wrong.

Wallahualam.

  1. Good letter, Major (rtd) Mior Rosli.

I am proud of you and thank you and your colleagues in MAF for your service in the defense of our country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence. My prayers are for the fallen men of the Armed Forces. You all are patriots. UMNO leaders, on the other hand, are racists, religious bigots and corrupt politicians. The Minister of Defense is a phony. He deserves to be booted out of office.–Din Merican

    • I am with you..din merican.
      _______________
Thank you. It is time we speak up. Never be afraid to dissent. Major (rtd) Mior Rosli has set the example for the brave men and women of the MAF. Our military and police are led by kaki jilat punggung peminpim UMNO seperti Najib, Hishamuddin, Zahid Hamid dll.–Din Merican

    • Tok Cik, where are you? You are most qualified to comment on Major (rtd) Mior Rosli’s article, given your distinguished career with the Rangers. You should know about Hishamuddin Hussein Onn’s track record as cabinet minister laksamana belakang. He makes me sick for his poor handling of MH370 and Lahad Datu.–Din Merican

    • I totally agreed with this letter by Maj. Hj. Mior. I served 13 years in the armed forces n all of us are brothers defending the dignity n interest of our country. All of us still brothers until today, where many of us already grandfathers. This useless Hishamuddin don’t deserve to doned the uniform n bring shame to it.

    • The rayak rejoices when a country is rule with righteoness, justice and fairness. This will bring unity and love to the nation. Thumps up for MAF for your many sacrifices for this country. May God continue to protect and guide you all to love one another. A country united with one heart, one mind and one Spirit will and can change for the good that benefit all !

  2. Thank you , Major (rtd) Mior Rosli ,for speaking up against racist and bigotry for your colleagues,Malay, Chinese and other ethical groups, who collectively had suffered pains and sacrificed their lives to defend the nation.

Keep up the spirit and momentum of speaking up against the injustice of the Umnob leaders racist Supremacy and bigotry attitude which is largely the cause of national disunity and disharmony. Other institution leaders should emulate in helping to forge a fairer and better Malaysia, regardless of race and religion.

    • UMNO is the enemy of the state, not the Non-Malays. This is the very party that betrayed its own race and country through massive corruptions and total neglect of the welfare of the Malays.

  3. What an inspiring letter? It sure made my day and the coming weekend. These MAF officers are so different from the religious leaders who are supposed to be at war with the unrighteousness. So much for being closed to ‘God’. My utmost respect to all the MAF officers for coming out to speak for the rayaks in Malaysia most degrading times. Thank you and I salute to all.

  4. Nice one Major, hentam dia kow kow.
The problems with most Malays, as far ad UMNO is corcern, they cant diffrentiate between days n nites. Too parochial n sentimental.
Now is the right time to dump umno for good.
    Tengok, ada berani kah.

  5. Dammed right, Major (R) Mior!
The damned sissy prick don’t know what being in the Armed Forces meant! They believe that their “responsibilities” mean picking up commissions and kickbacks out of your blood and lives! Bijan was a blatant example: imagine sending sailors into submarines that won’t resurface? …and only for fat commissions and kickbacks, …maybe even murdered for them?
But the MAF fat cats at the top also don’t impress and inspire confidence! The handling of the Lahad Datu “incursion” was both a joke and a disgrace to the MAF!!! Were they soldiers (of the Ministry of Defence) or were they Machais of the Ministry of Home Affairs?
Do the Defenders of our borders contemplate for over a week and “discuss” semantics? Is an intrusion an incursion? Or an incursion an invasion?
And for A WEEK? Wouldn’t that be TOO LATE were it an invasion?
Politics are for saving ones’ arses, but soldiers are expected to die… the truth about play-actors!
The dead should be remembered and their sacrifices respected, …and their idiologies upheld.
Thank you, Maj. Mior and thank you to ALL that have defended us with their lives.
    RSPC, OP.

    • What about the helicopters that were dropping like flies some decades ago? Cause was the politicians and UMNO appointed generals making money by using fake parts! Curse them.

  6. I remember that many of the TUDM pilots based at Kuantan air base during the 1970s were non-Malays. Canadair CL-41 Tutor “Tebuan” pilots and Westland Sea King “Nuri” helicopter pilots.

    • i was with Heli Sqn from burtherworth somewhere in 80,s, i was from the specia Svc Rgt, doing a risky rescue assignment to our soldiers injured, casevec, medivec .& bodyvec..my friend of mind was killed while descending with a Bosun harness together with sttetcher just simply for doing rescue jobs , i still remember the Heli was piloted by one indian pilot officer by the name of Capt Richard and a Sgt QM Cifi Chong..i have never seen such a brave pilot like hime who descent and stegnent the machine between the trees as simply to get lower for the rescue evacuation.. our heli poilot are the most experience i have everseen.. many malay officer pilot are even better and skiill, it is so obvious in the arm forces that,we knew nothing on racist , we respect each other, so please never ever degrade us. now im a civilian with a heart and blood with military brainwash….

  7. Well said…. Well told… Well expressed. Well done. My hat off to you. My highest respect for you. All true Malaysians please take note.

  8. On Hishamuddin Hussein’s Racism Remarks

This FB posting of mine 2day is a special dedication to all my former colleagues, who like me hv served n probably given their best part of their lives serving the country we call Malaysia & also 2 ALL those who r still serving in the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) today.

Dis FB posting is On Hishamuddin Hussein , the present Minister Of Defence , is a repost fm a colleague of mine , a MAF retiree like me 2.
The writer of the article Mej (B) Haji Mior Rosli (TUDM) is a Malay & I, Mej (B) Haji Muhammad bin Abdullah @ Tan Wah Guan (Army) is a Malaysian Chinese & a Huamu. For the info of all, a Huamu is short 4 Huaren Muslim ; & Huaren denotes how a Mainland chinese fm China addresses those chineses like my father who hv left the motherland 4 better futures n hv sworn their loyalty n allegiance in their destination countries. I m a 2nd generation chinese, born n brought up n god willing probably die in Malaysia. A Malaysian Huamu I am , an overseas Malaysian chinese who hv returned 2 the religion of Islam n hvg served in the MAF the better part of my life.

Do let me assure U Hishamuddin, I will certainly feel much safer wif the likes of Mior & also my other multi racial brother colleagues serving or hv served in the Malaysian Armed Forces ON ALL COUNTS rather than wif U or the likes of your cousin Najib Razak & his cohorts in UMNO who will stoop to the lowest in order to achieve yur vilest political agenda using the race factor to conveniently divide the nation comprising of ALL races. I m appalled.

At 68 & of the same religion as u r, I must admit, U make me feel very embarassed . So my advice as an old man..if u do not hv anything or knowing how 2 say about something dat may affect the country’s stability , moreso on an institution as the MAF of which u r put there as its Minister, plz shut the fuck up. As of now , U DISGUSTS me, U STUPID SHITHEAD !!!

Maraming salamat Bro Looi 4 da share. u r equally a patriot.

  9. We go back 50 years ago, there’s no racist, in schools Indian, Chinese and Malays we play together, we eat together (there’s no call HALAL), we share our food. No restrictions religious wise we go as we like.
But today there’s biggest gap between students, 95 % of them they’re mixing with there own racist. all this happening because the UMNO political.
To day all Three Racist apart from each other. UMNO is responsible for it. We Hopping todays Malaysian culture will change. Treate all same not for political reasons. Hope we can go back to the 50 years old culture that we all are the same. all depends UMNO mentality. This is what I feel today. Thanks.

    • Very well said Mr Anba .me too was in Govt Service.I still remember those R the days has gone far far away We all like Bro’s & Sist’s .We all R so united now all of us been seperated cose our Present GOVT.

  10. A distant uncle of mine, the first MCSO and commanding officer Maj Gen SM Leong of Regiman Semboyan DiRaja would be turning in his grave and shooting gamma rays at this phony keris wielding, race baiting goblok of a DM.

As it is my brother-in-law – a Chinese-Batak, a long retired WO who had served with distinction in Labuan and Congo in the sixties with Semboyan, is similarly appalled and is planning to send mind-altering UHF and microwaves to this bloke. I told him it won’t work as that skull is impenetrable. UMNOb turds can only hear, see and smell only dedak and can only be vanquished by a Ghostbuster proton pack.

Yup, NPA may well be the Ghostbusters we so desperately need: Cheers!

  11. Salute to Mej Hj Mior and all Comrades . We live by Rukun Negara and we shall die for it and with it till our last blood. Unlike Bloody Politicians who instigate the rakyat with lies. Retirement doesn’t mean nothing, active or passive we are ever ready to stand in for Malaysia, unlike coward politicians will bungkus and compete rushing to the airport to get any flight out. Race or Religion doesn’t matter in MAF, b’cos we are truly 1 Malaya(until 1963) and then onwards 1 Malaysia forever.

  12. I think the Defense Minister is hallucinated to label the PPK – racist. It is sad he fails to learn from his past mistakes. He must be very sick.

Bravo Zulu, Major (Rtd) Moir Rosli for voicing out and revealing the truth about the MAF. What you have penciled are valuable knowledge and positive thinking for all to emulate in a multi racial country like Malaysia.

Tuan, you are indeed a very brave military officer like many others – I am very proud of you. If there is a need for you to Charlie Mike – please do take care.

I salute you sir. Thank you and many blessings.
    Ex – Mar. Eng. (RMN – 1975)

  13. A very brave patriot & a retired personnel has shown he’s a true soldier , by making this scathing remarks against an IMPUDENT (dis) honourable Minister , who should quietly go ‘ bungkus ‘ into the sunset prematurely – he was made only because he happens to be in the ‘family ‘ ……you know who ?

  14. There was a time when despite all their wrongs, UMNO politicians were still unquestionably patriots. Today, these veterans have been and no.reason not to be patriots, it cannot be said the same for UMNO/BN politicians.

  15. Ha ha padan muka Hishammudin, tackling the wrong crowd. The Armed Forces is what it is today because of UMNO’s racist policy of not recruiting non Malays and holding back or delaying appointment and promotion of non Malay officers. The Minister is out of touch with reality and doesn’t understand the camaraderie of the Armed Forces. He needs to undergo basic military training under a non Malay drill sergeant to begin with.

I bet you the non Malay officers in the MAF speak better Bahasa Malaysia that the Minister.

  16. Gentlemen and citizens of this soil,
Thank you for your compliments, and thank you very much to “Din Merican” for reposting my FB write up in your blog. I am just a little man who had shed blood, sweat and tears with my fellow Malaysian in the MAF trying to maintained our independence during our tour of duty. And we, in the National Patriot Association, under the current leadership of BG Dato’ Arshad Raji (Pakchad as we called him) felt that we are still relevant in maintaining our independence. No more with arms and ammo but with our Patriotic experiences, to guide the Y-Generation to be a better citizenship, to live in a more harmonic relationship with all races, religions, businesses.

We hope to get the right melting pot for all young Malaysian, based on our Rukun Negara and the Federal Constitution. In this aspect, Indonesia which have more than 700 races and tribes are more advanced than us. Divide and rule was our last colonial method to rule us, and UMNO is doing the same as what it’s colonial masters did. Time have changed, people have changed too. UMNO is behind time. We need every body to be Malaysian not Malay, Chinese, Indians etc but Malaysian, save by the law (Federal Constitution) at the time being.

As a Malaysian, I am very against of allowing the influx of foriegners to be the permanent residence of this soil, unless their acceptance to be PR really beneficial to this country for the generations next to come. Otherwise, we must treat them as foriegn workers or visitors, full stop. UMNO has to stop all these nonsense of “Maggie Mee” citizenship for UMNO’s personal Political gains, selling mass lands to foriegners, making fantanbulous loans more than we can pay, over and triple taxing the citizens. Yes we want FDI, but not like Zimbabwe or Sri Lanka. We want modernization but it must be gradually with our education, standard of living, reduced gaps of racial differences.

UMNO had failed to follow the “Rule of Law” over the years and had convinced many citizens that UMNO is an absolute government. “Rule of Law” must be applied to all.. citizens and state alike. Civil servants and enforcement authorities like the RMP, MACC etc shall not be bias but purely professional.

Last but not least, our Armed Forces must be 100% professional, apolitical, non partisan, and fully equipped and trained to defend this Tanah Tumpah Darah Ku”. No substandard equipment, no buying without spares, and no corruptions. The Armed Forces must be well trained and multi racial except for the Royal Malay Regiment. Promotion of higher post in the military must be based on merits and professionalism, not political or racism. They are our life insurance. I demand the Armed Forces to be as what Articles 41, 132 and 137 of the Federal Constitution said.

Thank you, again for all who support me, and Patriot, to make Malaysia a better place to live in. InsyaAllah.

    Major Mior Rosli,

Great to hear from you. My salams to you, Pakchad and MAF veterans.

It is my pleasure to post your letter to that laksamana belakang. He and other UMNO ministers deserve to be put on the carpet. They are corrupt, incompetent and dishonest. It is time the military and police vote Najib out of office. The PM belongs in jail.

Please contact me if you feel I am able to help you and your veteran friends. Let us stand up and fight the UMNO kleptocrats and Najib Razak (don’t forget that despicable, evil and greedy FLOM Rosmah anak Mansor).

BTW, Cambodians respect our military and police personnel who served under UNTAC. My brother-in-law B-G Dato Adika of TUDM served UNTAC.– Din Merican,Phnom Penh

    • Dear Sir

I want to thank you for your service to the nation. Younger generation needs to hear your stories about different races fighting for Malaysia.

      Thank you.

  17. I salute and respect all of you true blue patriots of Malaysia who will die for Malaysia irrespective of race, language or religion.
I m a Singaporean Arab/Chinese but my parents came from Penang/Perak. Tho I have spent most of my 68 years in Singapore and even done National Service, I still feel very much for my Malaysian roots.
All of those who have commented on Major Mior’s piece are to equally respected and saluted for speaking out.
Good luck and God’s Blessings to you and your families.
    Wassalam

  18. Hi hishamuddin your late father was a veteran of force 146during the 2nd world war and a classmate of my late father. U are shit n not entittle to weara uniform nor evev a rela member. Shame on u for putting a para logo on our uniform U are not even rntittle to use a kepala koter as a wimg. 1 put 21years of service for my country n spend 12 years in the bush i have seen blood spill on the ground of my country. All umno jokers are just corupted what hav u all done for the peolpe of malaysia except for sucking our blood . Long live the Patriot , the veteran are with u.

  19. Those who have commented are also patriotic and are also concerned about the pathetic situation politically where change is the answer to our country. Religiously speaking. we need many bodies and one in mind to make it happen for the betterment of the country. Racism should not be the topic for political parties to gain support in the election campaign. No matter what analysis made out to be, the bottom line is for EC to ensure that postal votes are genuinely observed with no invisible voters under such circumstances.

  20. Good analysis of the country’s current situation run by the present PM. & cronies. They are making a laughing stock of our country world wide. We can as a multi racial people put an end to this gang of cronies through our ballot papers this PRU14. We have to put our voices together. United we stands

  21. For decades, discrimination policies were disguised as ‘ Affirmative policies ‘ to assist the ‘ disadvantaged Malay/Mulsim ‘……or hidden agenda – ‘ Isi Penuh’ policy in the public sector to totally control the administration.

How could you advance Bahasa Malaysia and promote unity and social cohesion when you openly discriminate non Malay/Muslim from sekolah kebangsaan from working and advancing their career in the public sector to contribute to the country?

With a strong culture of blame, then they shamelessly accused the non Malay/Muslim for lacking loyalty for not wanting to improve their BM.

Rampant corruption, gross abuse of power and gross mismanagement of the public sector, including GLCs are the result of decades of bad and corrupt political leadership and discrimination policies.

  22. Bet that laksamana belakang is now running to his mama and crying his head off!! He should jump back into his mama’s womb. Should never have been born at all.

  23. I’m glad from what i hv heard though i was never in any MAF but i do remember when I was in La Salle Peel Road there was no differences between Malays, Chinese or Indian boys in school. We ate together, only conversed in English fluently, played together and spend free times in each others homes. I remembered Azran Aziz, Zainal Rahim, Charles, Chow Yoke Fatt, Low Yew Hong eating together in my home simple meals my mother cooked. Today because of Mahathir yes its Mahathir who changed the mindset of the Malays & UMNO is the pedigree yes pedigree tht you have Hishamuddin and the rest of these stickymeldews (not their sperm of cause) on the toilet bowl and we should not don’t blame them. Btw, Hishamuddin, he was never smart in school anyway so what do you expect GIGO meaning garbage-in-garbage-out.

  24. Betul.. . Saya maseh ingat bagaimana kesusahan dan keperitan itu. Tun Razak dan Tun Husin Onn sama2 berjuang dalam ashkar Melayu. Tapi ank2 mereka lupa bagaimana perjuangan tersebut. Saya menantu Allahyarham Kol (B) Ariffin bin Ismail

  25. Din, this email from Major Rosli is one of the reasons why I became a regular reader of your blog. You can be relied upon to post a gem of an article every now and again. Some of the comments are moving too.

There is a simple truth that runs through this thread. That is that we are all Malaysians and we are all damn proud to be called Malaysians.

Nobody can take that away from us.

    • Like your commentator Syed Alwi Aidid, I have also spent most of my 69 years in the UK and like him, I will always read and think about Malaysia. And, I am still Malaysian.

  26. About time to weed out sick people from our Malaysian crop. We will have a bounty full harvest after GE14. I’m 69 truely Malaysian. God save Malaysia.

  27. Excellently written. I am so proud and thankful for you and you army buddies sacrifices for the country. Thank you for the stand in the war zone and now we thank you for your stand today.
I really smile and love this quote

“You are where you are because your father was the Prime Minister, if not you are nothing.”

You nailed it. Thank you again (can’t ThAnk you enough for your services to the country)

    Have a nice day.

  28. Alhmdulilah..Well written..Well said. Splendidly expressed! Moga Allah swt, balas jasa Tuan Tuan, brkhdmat brjuang demi keselamatan Negara. 29. My Great Salutation dear Maj(u)Mior sir.I still remember the Boder Operations:Ops Gonzalez/Ops Kelong4/Ops Parabela/Ops Kota Echo/Ops Cahaya Bena/Ops Selamat Sawadi & many more.So called bloody politicians can’t even march to their own death grave.
Maj we are still the same comrads. We are one & only true Malaysians without any differences.
Iam proud that I haved served the RMAF & really honoured to participate in modt of the Border Ops frm 1974-1985 while I was in tha Air Operation Centre.
All the MAF Veterans are with you Major.
    God bless us all.
    Salutation Buddies.

  30. This is a very good comment from Rtd Mej Rosli Mior but It is pointless if it only reached to the few. Someone has to convey and spread the message to the majority especially the rural folks otherwise it will never change the demographic and Umno/bn would still be in power for the next 100 year’s.
