Dr. Kamsiah G. Haider and Din Merican wish our friends, associates, and all men and women of the Hindu Faith a Happy and Prosperous Deepawali, 2016. Let there be peace among us. God Bless.
May this Diwali bring all the friends I made on this blog but never met the utmost in peace and prosperity. May the light we celebrate at Diwali show us the way and lead us together on the path of peace and social harmony in Malaysia. May the spirit of light illuminate the world and may peace transcend the earth.

HAPPY DEEPAVALI to all friends on the blog…
LaMoy, you attending the MPBA Deepavali event in the Bay Area?
Semper fi: You mean the Deepavali buffet lunch at Sunnyvale? No, I am not a member of MPBA. That association is for young Malaysian professionals and business people like you. I am too old and feel out of place. Ha, ha.
Good over evil must exist everyday in this world. Religion must not be a barrier to feel happy and contended during any celebrations. Happy deepavali everyone.
LaMoy ha ha me young? My classmates were engineers that worked on the space shuttle at Rockwell. Space shuttles have been retired and Rockwell is also gone.
Semper fi:
So, we’re two stupid old men met over Din’s blog. Thank you, Din.
I remember Benjamin Disraeli once said: “Youth is a blunder, manhood a struggle; old age a regret.” But I have no regret. I have lived a pretty full life, a successful one. Frankly, a Malay kampong Chinese boy like me, I could not have done it if I had not come to America, which let me be all that I can be. That, I’m forever grateful to America.
I came with only US$50 in my pocket. Boy, was I scared then. Absolutely. But I did it, in my way and on my terms. I do not believe there is a god that given me what I have. I earned it through my own hard work. And America given me the opportunity.

Thanks,my bro. Admirable, you are a symbol of what adversity can do for our generation. It strengthens us as humble human beings.I am gratified that my blog brings people together since one of my objectives is to unite people. Rightways included.–Din Merican
