  1. Yes, Dato sanctions against Russia will not work but we must remember that Obama is only a front man and nothing is in his control.

Sanctions are as good a sign of failure of reasoned diplomacy as anything… they did not work with Japan during the last war, did not work with South Africa where they were openly defied by Western corporations and will not work now.

The key to the current sanctions fiasco is with Europe … will it finally wake up and use its considerable influence or will it continue with its perplexing course of political grovelling to a US that is bankrupt.

  2. In Chinese, crisis creates opportunity. Smart people power can change the course if its human capital based on meritocracy, not race!

Containment and sanctions work or don’t work depending on people strategy.

  3. Isa,
Just like Bush. And would you prefer Tony Blair? Stop harping on Iraq issue. Have you forgotten on Tony Blair’s success story in Sierra Leone, Kosovo and Northern Ireland. Tony Blair managed to push Vladmir and Clinton to act on the Kosovo’s issue while Madhater was talking craps as always.

    Guys & Gals,
How about send more superspies to Ukraine? Hahahaha!

  4. Basically, the writer is looking at the big picture – the world is getting messier, with conflicts spreading like bush-fires, since Taikor seems to be distracted and starting to look inwards. It hegemony seems to be fraying.., but it’s far from turning turtle despite the fact that it’s economy may be surpassed by PRC, perhaps by end of this year. So what’s with:
    a) Ukraine? Historically and demographically Eastern Ukraine is a Province of Russia. Putin and any Russkie worth his salt who calls out to Rodina (Motherland), will allow encourage secession, if not outright annexation of regions, where they are the majority. What national ‘integrity’! What the Lord Giveth, the Lord can Taketh away.. Yeah, sanctions against a Bear is a waste of breath..

    b) Thailand? I think the mess there is a reflection of what is playing out in the Palace. Their ailing King, favors the eldest Princess to assume the throne, as she has the common folk close to her heart. The Queen and some conservative Palace officials want the Prince. So the streets of Bangkok and elsewhere are in lock-down, with Yellow vs Red. They can’t have Orange unless the Military forces the issue – but that’s lese majesty before the fact, ain’t it?

    c) Boko Haram? These fellas are serious druggies, and seem to be on some PCP rage. Slavery by decree of their god? Good grief – so much for Religious Funks!

  5. Isa,
    Watch this!

And this…….What the heck the so called most experienced BN government does?

What the heck did Madhater do?

    Lupus,
Rather the so called Taikor is no longer taikor anymore. While its economy still surpasses PRC, the gap is closing fast. And it’s something to do with statistical and fact. The fact that China has always been rich for centuries………It’s illogical that such hegomony can remain in the hands of countries such as US forever

  6. Do not be too sure. The US takes migrants from all over the world. We in the Third World educate and train them and they use them for their benefit. Another country in this region is also doing the same.

  7. Sorry TL, PRC is slated to overtake Taikor in terms of GDP (NOT GDP-PPP) by the end of this or early next year (World Bank Projections). But yes, that’s definitely not the whole story.

Taikor will remain top-dog for the foreseeable future, unless they garrote themselves. They are some 40-50 years ahead of PRC – in technology and hardware. Their only vulnerable spot is their cyber-security and warfare – which the Chinese trumps them in spades. That’s why we have a PLAAF J-20 stealth fighter which has a F-22 front and a Sukhoi PAK FA backside. That’s No way to build a plane?! Plagiarizing sometimes saves time, but i heard the radar signature is that of a Cow, instead of a Sparrow!

The Russians, too are much more advanced in Land, Sea, Air and Space – something like 3 decades ahead. The Europeans are slumbering, but have the capacity to ramp up – only problem is that their active servicemen are approaching andropause..

BTW, is it true that the second most spoken language in Microsoft is Romanian?
