Shahrizat is Edgy and the End is Near?

by  Wong Choon Mei, Malaysia Chronicle

Back to the wall Shahrizat Jalil showed her claws with a low blow at PKR Strategy Director Rafizi Ramli, but did not have the guts to refute her seniors and her own Deputy in Wanita UMNO who wants her out before she destroys their party beyond repair.

“It is a low blow and I understand she must feel the pressure. But we have to be professional. If she and her family are innocent, she would welcome the chance to prove her innocence,” Rafizi told Malaysia Chronicle.

Under pressure, Shahrizat resorted to the farcical and the crude

Told in no uncertain terms by the former  Wanita UMNO chief Rafidah Aziz to “damn it” and get out, and before that by former premier Mahathir Mohamad to “go before she is chased out”, and just a day ago by deputy Wanita chief Kamilia Ibrahim to not be a burden to UMNO, it was tough for the shell-shocked Shahrizat to put on a brave face.

Forgetting her dignity, she resorted to the farcical and sad to say, the ‘bitchy’ streak in her finally overcame the ‘gracious’. She lashed out at Rafizi for blowing the whistle on her family’s alleged misappropriation of public money in the RM250mil NFC cattle breeding project.

Shahrizat, who is also the Women Affairs minister, went so far as to call him a sissy for being so watchful on the NFC scandal, offering to send him her wing’s red-and-white ‘baju kurung’ uniform.

“He will look good in red and white as he’s a little jambu (effete). Wanita UMNO will pack the red and white garments and send them to my stalker,” Malaysian Insider reported Shahrizat as saying on Sunday.

“Because I think this particular person aspires to be Wanita UMNO chief, maybe because he’s a wannabe leader (but) his party doesn’t have many members. Wanita UMNO has 1.3 million members so he can feel the strength.”

Coward when it comes to Rafidah, Dr M

Earlier, she showed her cowardice in responding to her own peers in UMNO, not daring to respond to Rafidah’s no-holds-barred advice to her to basically get the hell out of UMNO before she wrecks the party with her family’s scandalous conduct at the NFC.

“I don’t want to attack people who are older than me, I come from a family where my parents taught me not to be rude to anyone, more so to people who are older than me, so I’ll shut my mouth,” said Shahrizat.

Malaysian women are better than that

But critics say, as can be seen from her Rafizi attack, Shahrizat is not as ‘nice’ as she makes herself out to be. Double standards, lying to herself and about herself were dead giveaways from her crude outburst.

No doubt, Shahrizat had meant to ‘slay’ Rafizi by questioning his masculinity, but the manner in which she did it only destroyed her femininity – surely the core values of which are grace and dignity.

“Well, as we have said before, PKR won’t be pressured by such personal attacks to be derailed from fully exposing Shahrizat and her family. On the contrary, we will be even more focused to ensure that every accusation we make is fully grounded in fact and from which she and her family will find it hard to wriggle out from. This is not revenge. Nobody is that interested in the Shahrizats but everybody is interested in where our RM250 million went,” PKR Women’s chief Zuraida Kamaruddin told Malaysia Chronicle.

“As a woman leader, I feel embarrassed by Shahrizat’s comments. Not only were they out of line and unbecoming, they also don’t put women in a good light. Women should be dignified, and calm in facing calamities. Women are the bedrock of a family and the nation. But Shahrizat is becoming like Ummi Hafilda, simply shooting her mouth off with crazy talk. I fear the pressure is becoming too much for her and she should heed all our advice, not just from the Pakatan Rakyat but from her own seniors in UMNO – quit gracefully and go before she is really chased out. Also, please don’t shame the women’s movement in Malaysia with further crude and bitchy comments. Malaysian women are better than that.”

  1. This lady wont resign, period.

She was booted out by the folks of Lembah Pantai who gave her a clear message that she is not wanted. And yet she is thick skinned enough to accept a backdoor entrance i.e. being appointed as a Senator.

She sees no wrong in using RM250million of public funds for her family.

This is the kind of arrogance, the kind of kurang ajar we must eradicate in Malaysia amongst political leaders.

Something is not right. In Kajang/Sg Buloh prison there are many serving time for crimes like robberies etc, and yet for robbing RM250 million of taxpayers’ money, which is many times more than those in Kajang/Sg Buloh attempted to steal/rob, Shahrizat and her family are still free and full of arrogance.

  2. A Thousand Cry Geranimo! This Minister is clinging to her job because she knows MACC’s Standard Operating Procedure: It won’t investigate an UMNO Minister in office. If it is possible she wants to return to Lembah Pantai to take on her nemesis in 2008, Nurul Izzah Anwar. Raja Nong Cik won’t let that happen since he wants to contest there in GE-13 and be the MP and Minister in the new Cabinet (UMNO-BN is confident to retaining Putrajaya?).

Her best option to negotiate deal with Najib for her quitting Wanita UMNO and the Cabinet post, that is, immunity from prosecution for herself and her family, especially her husband Dato Salleh. Mahathir can help her here. I, however, suggest she should see the quiet one, Tun Dr.Siti Hasmah who can persuade her husband to do things he normally would not do. Or else cry before the former Prime Minister and beg for mercy (He is God on Earth!) and he can move with some urgency.

The scandal will be around for a while yet. Let us face it: The Lembugate won’t just go away since it will be a GE-13 issue. Even the rural folks won’t tolerate a cheat and hypocrite like Shahrizat Abdul Jalil. Go Lah.

  3. Negotiate a deal and immunity??? Then what about that RM250million money which belongs to the public??

Bloody hell …. try to rob a bank for say RM100k, you may get 10 to 15 years of prison time. Sapu RM250million … you get to negotiate immunity pulak?? Malaysia Boleh!

  4. Time to play Devil’s Advocate yet again. I’m getting tired.

Shahrizat is guilty?? Guilty of what? Show me the evidence ! Everybody is like forever screaming guilty but guilty of what? No one has come up with so much as a theory. There is blood in the water. Yeah. And sharks are waiting to make the kill.

A man has been arrested allegedly for trying to bribe senior police officers involving a sum of more than a RM1.7 million. He was apparently acting under instructiion. It was denied by the company and instead he was accused to have stolen the cash from the company. A large sum of money just doesn’t go missing and unnoticed? This guy is a material witness and is a treasure trove of information for the police.

Unfortunately, in Malaysia there is no plea bargaining which is one reason why criminals get away free all the time for lack of evidence. Otherwise a lighter sentence could be offered to this material witness for the prosecution for information that would lead to the indictment of the major players.

But of course that is as far as the law goes. We are not talking law here. Shahrizat Abdul Jalil will not be prosecuted. Nor will her husband. Period.

  5. In frustration our Tok Cik has taken to stalking this woman. Don’t do anything foolish Tok Cik. Just show her your meat and walk away.

  6. No experience in cattle rearing can also get RM250million in soft loan.
Directors need not personally guarantee the loan exposing the loan to further risks. 4 years since the loan was disbursed, no improvement in the local meat supply.

Instead fat salaries for directors, a mercs, 2 condos in Bangsar, 1 condo in Singapore, 2 bungalow plots in Putrajaya, RM600K in credit card expenses, a ‘consultant’ who ‘cheated’ the chairman and tried to bribe the IO.; and whatever else are still hidden from public knowledge.

… and what has Shahrizat got to say after 3 umrahs in 2 months? “… a test from Allah,” she intoned.

May I ask whether is this a typical response from a Malay Muslim politician? No even an apology, an attempt to right the wrong, what more a taubat?

  7. The NFC sticks out like the end of a wollen sweater. Do not pull too hard on it because the process of making the sweater into a ball of wool. Then all hell will break loose. What will happen next ? Well I leave to the imagination of the individual reader.

  8. Instead fat salaries for directors, a mercs, 2 condos in Bangsar, 1 condo in Singapore, 2 bungalow plots in Putrajaya, RM600K in credit card expenses, a ‘consultant’ who ‘cheated’ the chairman and tried to bribe the IO.; — Jamal Majid

Good. Something here to work on. It would be easier to expose fraud if you do away with legal fiction called company. The judge has the tool called piercing the corporate veil to expose the fraud. Here are individuals who under the cloak of legal fiction work as accomplices to conspire to defraud the company of its funds. This is per se evidence of criminal misappropriation of funds. But where does Shahrizat fit in this scheme of things?

  9. They have more than enough solid evidence of CBT wrt NFC, Bean. It extends from Oz to the Central Asian Republics. But they are stymied as to what exactly “Legality”, “Justice” and “Responsibility” mean. Believe me the condos, cars and credit cards is just the tip of the ice-berg. Gratification is the SOP of UMNO big-wigs.

  10. I feel very sad for Shahrizat… All I can tell poor Shahrizat is what the old geezers on the golf course in my club love to say when things don’t go their way, ” Life is a bitch”.

Yeah! LiFE is a real bitch, especially when her husband behaves like a “bast…d” running the NFC and as a result bringing her down as well.

In case some of you misread me, I said, “LIFE is a bitch”, you hear?

  11. Shahrizat Abdul Jalil will not be prosecuted. Nor will her husband. Period.
    -Bean

Yes sir! She is well protected. Because Tok Chik is standing solidly and in full strength in front of her. Nothing will go through her unless by Tok Cik.

  12. Such is the arrogance of power displayed by Shahrizat, a norm among the leaders of UMNO/BN. Not only she sees nothing wrong in the RM250 scandal, she is now trying to poke fun in wanting to present Rafizi with Wanita UMNO dress.

Looks like she has not got hidayah after her 3 times Umrah in tee and a half months.

  13. Shahrizat calls Rafizi, “jambu” and wanting to send a baju kurung to him.

Now she insinuates Rafizi is gay!!

Somehow UMNO men AND women have a fascination and a hidden passion with HOMOSEXUALS. No Lesbians in Wanita UMNO??

  14. By calling Rafizi “Jambu” Shahrizat is making a pass at Rafizi and skirting close to sexual harassment. Rafizi should file a sexual harassment complaint, unfortunately Malaysia doesn’t have an EEOC. Hey Salleh your wife is exhibiting interest in Rafizi. You need to “take better care” of your missus. Don’t just take care of the lembus, that is the job of the stud bull.

  15. Sayalazat is in public office , in other words she is a government employee and not merely an elected representative or senator. There are laws clearly stating government servants and/or their families are barred from actively participating in any government sponsored projects or contracts… Are there any other loopholes to dispute this standing orders ?

  16. semper fi.

We need to get a word in from Tok Cik on Shahrizat making a pass on Rafizi. Tok Cik’s performance is being questioned here.

Gee, didn’t know she loves jambus. What about that jambu Saiful???

  17. No. Semper. Insulting a man’s masculinity is not sexual harassment. She is dismissive of the guy hinting that his sausage won’t fit into her donut as snuggly as Tok Cik’s. She is only exercising her free speech right under the country’s constitution.

  18. I’m so embarrassed as a woman. She said she’s going to fight the allegations but never did I imagine it to be these kind of fights. This is the kind of thing people like ilham would undertake but I don’t expect it from a minister. She went for Umrah 3 times in 2 months and this is the only thing she can come out with???!

  19. Forgetting her dignity, Sharizat resorted to the farcical and sad to say, the ‘bitchy’ streak in her finally overcame the ‘gracious’. She lashed out at Rafizi for blowing the whistle on her family’s alleged misappropriation of public money in the RM250mil NFC cattle breeding project.

Shahrizat, who is also the Women’s minister, went so far as to call him a sissy for being so watchful on the NFC scandal, offering to send him her wing’s red-and-white ‘baju kurung’ uniform.

Wanita Umno has 1.3 million members so he can feel the strength.”

    sila tanya shahrizat
lembu zain azrai siapa kang kang?
    kah kah kah…

p/s Anyone remember Zain Azrai ? One of  Sharizat lovers, just ask our bloghost 🙂

  20. Ayaa..you fellas, cannot leave Tok Cik in peace huh? Give this old digger a break lah. I having a siesta with Sharizat’s lost lembus here in Belakang Mati.

  21. Aiyaaa…..Sharizat is a gone case laa…..What more to say about her? Kill my brain cell only

    Tok Cik,
Got Belakang Mati in Malaysia meh! I thought there is only one Pulau Belakang Mati in Singapore.
I hope that Din do a writeup on Toh Chin Chye. He’s one great leader! Once Perakian too! What if Chin Chye succeeded in having singapore stayed in Malaysia. Better still acheive his mission in 1964 Malaysia GE

  22. Makcik, stop trolling please. You can’t fight with substance so you call your opposition “jambu”. How old are you? 10?

  23. What I don’t understand is that what’s so difficult for her to resign? If she wants to fight, fight lah. Resign and then she can concentrate on the efforts of clearing her name. Instead of confronting the allegations, she deflects it by saying this is an attack on Wanita UMNO, opposition’s attempt to smear her, God’s test for her and blah3. She couldn’t even bring herself to answer Rafidah Aziz. The most disappointing part is that she decided to call a person “jambu” after coming back from Umrah.

  24. Just because Kak Ijat is acting like a child doesn’t mean you have to act like one too. I’m glad you are not my mother. It’s embarrassing. From your statement it’s safe to assume that you judged the debate based on style instead of substance. I don’t know maybe we watched a different debate.

  25. when have you , didi, seen anyone, any politican from Umno do the honorouble thing and resign , even if only to clear their name and then return later if it is in fact cleared. When, pray tell me?

  26. Kathy,

My uncle once served under Dr M a long time ago and when he didn’t agree with his policy, he resigned from his post. Once upon a time ago, there are honorable UMNO politicians but nowadays they are rare like panda bears or sumateran tigers.

  27. didi,Ok so I am wrong. Glad to know this. We have hope yet.
No wonder you cannto understand why some wont just resign. But your uncle is few and far between. Not enough honour.

  28. Macam org ganu kata, pada duk saja, baik bahan jubur lembu,in this case it’s Sharizat’s lembu or maybe Sharizat herself,n that’s a ganu Umno guy saying.

  29. .let me summarized , malaya a land of homosexuals , pimps , prostitutes , ‘humsap’ makciks & pakciks , a place were an animated version the definition of the phrase ‘kuali calling the kettle black is vividly illustrated , where cattles are bred in condos , a place where religion is made a commodity. Gosh!

  30. Shahrizat is waiting for the PM to cut her a deal so she and the family can walk into the sunset safe. The PM is secretly hoping that Rafizi would ramp up the expose so that he can escape from the unpleasant task of telling her to go. However, Rafizi’s bigger prize is the GE so PR will drag this till then.

Shahrizat knows she’s got everybody in UMNO by their gonads because all of them has got skeletons in their cupboards. The ball right now is in the PM’s court. So question is, does he have b**lls to return the volley?

  31. Mongkut Bean, even suggesting a female employee wear skirts instead of pants can tantamount to sexual harassment if the other person is offended. Displaying the scantily clad female Black & Decker Power Tool poster is deemed sexual harassment, so is off colored sexist joke. I’ve had to discipline managers that cross this fine line and in the last position I had the EEOC open an investigation on my GM for suggesting that an unwed female employee find a husband.

  32. Edgy….and the End is Near…for Sharizat, well said.

She never knew or realised that her End is near, thinking that with RM 250 M ( Wow…) she was at the Edge of the universe in sheer joy & ecstacy…with $250 M to live happily Everafter.

She must have suddenly realised that she is near the End, at the Edge (not of the universe), but at the edge of the Cliff…bewildered….not knowing what do or what steps to undo all her Mis-doings, and whether or not to take the momentous Leap….from the Edge…

Well 250 Million is no small joke to pull on the Malaysian Public, as if it is 25 M or 2.5M….even so, its still a ‘crime’ against the law, what more Quarter of a Billion tax-payers’ money…
Well, she should take the Leap !

  33. We all must not forget, if Shahrizat is found guilty, not only should she be punished by the Court of law. We must also recover the RM250 million. Malaysians always got fooled into thinking that justice is meted if a corrupted politician resigns. I’ll gladly be such politician if I get to keep the loot after resignation!

I am happy to offer my professional expertise to trace the money and work with law enforcements to recover them for the rakyat. I will need to charge a fee at my normal professional charge, which is nothing compare to the RM250 million. This is a serious offer.
