From The Star re RPK TV3 Interview

April 14, 2011

Thanks, CLF for this tribute to Jonathan Livingstone Deagull

From The Star: Din is not in cahoots with Raja Petra

PETALING JAYA: Blogger Din Merican, who was named by fugitive blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin as one of the individuals implicating the Prime Minister’s wife in the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu, has denied that he was involved.

In expressing his shock over being named by RPK in the TV3 interview, he said he had no idea that RPK had planned to sign a statutory declaration implicating Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, who was the Deputy Prime Minister then, and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor in the murder.

Din said he was never part of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s inner circle planning such strategies.

“I was part of Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim’s team, not Anwar’s. And at that time, people were fed up with Pak Lah (former prime minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi). It had nothing to do with trying to stop Najib from succeeding Pak Lah. Also, I have never implicated Najib. In my blog, I focus on issues, not baseless allegations,” he said.

Meanwhile, Anwar posted a two-word Twitter reply to queries raised by the online community on RPK’s revelation.

“Sarawak election,” said Anwar in his tweet yesterday, after a person called sivamsubang tweeted that RPK’s revelation was another slander against the Opposition Leader.

John Pang, another person named by RPK in the interview, could not be reached for comment.

  1. Whatever it is TV3 is stupid for bringing up the issue alive.
Just conduct the investigation so be it! Kalau berani lah apa masalah nya? Lets wait …will the authority willing to carry out the investigation? who is in the trap now? the informer, TV 3 or PM? or gone with the wind! cerita ka apa!

  2. So, this is the BIG surprise BN has in store before the Sarawak election? I am not amazed.

One other thing which Jibby has up his sleeves is the identity of the man in the sex video, which the Police said they had identified. It will be revealed a day before voting day in Sarawak.

This to me is a cheap “sandiwara” with a clear intent to derail the Opposition’s gains in Sarawak.
The timing of the revelation is very suspicious.

And for RPK to come out with his gun blazing, at this critical moment, says volume of his persona.

May be he has had enough of the wilderness and wants to make amends or something more sinister is bothering him. Only time will tell.

Notwithstanding what, the rakyat have made up their mind.

  3. Friends , the issues facing or confronting the country is still the same – with or without RPK.

To create a better enviroment and country for our children and grand children by eradicating corruption , abuse of power , instilling respect for our federal constitution etc., – the challenges and hurdles seem to be immense , as we can see .

Even the most stalwart ( eg. RPK ) amongst us seem to have their price . The frogs in Perak and Penang and even from selangor will now be laughing their guts out . Similarly, the MCLM is doomed – ” boleh gulong tikar “.

But does this mean that we too have to lose our focus ? Afterall , the issues remain the same and they are REAL issues.

So friends , lets just side step this latest side show like we did the blue film episode and KEEP OUR FOCUS ON THE ISSUES .

I am sure Din will agree that this is what we got to do .

  4. Whatever RPK is trying to do, he’s indeed proven to be a guillible idoits. There are plenty of such people around. Ranges from Don Quixote de la mancha to the only Singapore Jew Chief Minister, David Marshall

Yes, guys…..A Jew……No wonder Mahathir so damn angry of Singapore

Just as mentioned by Chan Heng Chee, David Marshall is a political virgin

So is our great RPK. I reserved my comment on Anwar. One thing I must say, if Anwar’s mentor is LKY, things would be very much different

  5. I think Petra is doing fine, I never have the impression he is principled and righteous. I don’t sense that in most of his writing and speech. And he is pretty defensive when issues were related to royalty.

But I can’t stand hypocrisy, and those that jump ship half way. That said, as long as they not take a 180% degree turn and bad mouth their past comrade, some may still earn my respect.

Oh btw, Paris is a wonderful place and the golf is great, music is pleasant served with a no ices vsop cognac, and would be most fantastic if end with a hot bowl of fisherman’s rice congee as supper. Superb.

  6. HuaYong,
Not to others but one got to slow down in criticising fellows such as RPK. RPK is LibDem member. In fact, it’s the rise of LibDem that RPK pushes for 3rd force, which is a FARCE in Malaysia
Yes, HuaYong…..A Farce…….Malaysia can’t afford a third force when there isn’t any strong alternative party. RPK does not seem to know the priorities
Just like David Marshall, an idealist. We need a LKY in Malaysia not David Marshall

  7. Well, bro din, I am equally amazed at RPK. What do you expect? This is principles for you. He just narates names to convince his story. In my mind RPK is a coward. I am totally disllusioned. All the people who lead in our country can’t seem to hold on to their story for long. MPs lie in Parliament, Police witnesses on the stand lie in court, Judges have their judgments written by lawyers appearing before them, What has this country been reduced to? Is being truthful such a rare commodity. How can this people spin untruths and hope to get away from it. Of all people RPK. Now he says he is consistent. I was of the opinion that RPK was made of better stuff. Did not in the wildest dream consider him an “orang suruhan”.

  8. Yup, Tok. Let’s have a cup of kopi musang.
This comes a lil’ too late and too little.
Attacking Anwar and PKR, like that is a hoot of minimal disorder. Most in Sarawak have made up their minds. It’s just down to the grease available; and from what i heard the BN war-chest is depleting plenty fast.
No amount of retraction, weaving and bobbing, gonna deflect the Opposition charge.
I may lose my minimal bet, but who cares. The odds were 100:1 anyway.
The greater issue is that most in the opposition herd, have learnt a valuable lesson is that all is not what it seems.

Hypocrisy, HuaYong? Yup, second that. That’s politics. Btw, Hua Jin-Tao is scheduled to visit end of the month. Too late to save Jibbo’s ass.

  9. in response to Tok Chik’s comment, I think Tok Chik has set in his mind that anything or any issue sided government will be regarded as ‘conspiracy’ against anwar..come on Tok Chik, we are not stupid, I have been in the Pakatan circle, I know them, mostly acted emotionally and baseless accusation..no study has been made..anything they will go against umno/bn..no intellectual analysis been carried out..they will purely and blatantly go against whatever comes from umno/bn..whatever come from them is always right..come on pls PR, be a good opposition..dont be a stupid opposition..

  10. LAN,

Vice-versa. I’ve been in UMNO circle, most don’t strike me as intellects either. Being emotional? Would being hurled with profanities because one professes support for the opposition qualify for that?

  11. LAN,

I have been with both – BN and Opposition. What I want and what most of us here want is change, with a capital “C”.

I echo the sentiments of the rakyat, and so do many of us here. It’s time we get our acts together and put some semblance of orderliness in our government.

How long more can we allow crooked politicians to continue calling the shots?

The rot has long ago set and it’s our duty to remove it , however difficult it may be.

I care more for this country than my affection for personalities or parties.

    Cheers.

  12. Tend to agree with ABU NAWAS. Ignore all “sandiwaras” that will crop up from time to time and concentrate on how best to solve the real problems facing our country.

  13. Lan,

UMNO – BN .. are responsible for the following :

    1. they are all corrupt to the core ;

    2. in the 50 plus years of this country’s independence , UMNO – BN has not shown any respect for Sarawakians or Sabahan’s . If they had any respect , they would have implemented and observed the 18 point agreement they signed with Sarawak and the 20 point agreement they signed with Sabah.

They have not done this but what they have done is have pliant or ” poodles ” for chief ministers who will do umno- bn’s bidding, like RPK is doing now and zaid ibrahim did earlier , so long as their corrupt activities is not investigated.

Is this the kind of people you want running your country ?

    3. Both Malay and Islamic supremacy is not even implied in the malaysian constitution . It is only a figment of mahathirs imagination. Similarly , Kereta Api Tanah Melayu is not synonymous with Malaysia. It is only the name given to our railways.

So , let me ask you if you would like your children and grand children to live in a place where MUFTI’S WHO HAVE HAD A DEPRIVED CHILDHOOD , like that one in Selangor and Perak telling you what you can do and cannot do? These mufti’s are nothing more then wanking idiots . In their free time , they masturbate .

    4. Anwar Ibrahim , has stood firm and tall , given all the rubbish that has been hurled at him by all and sundry – the latest being RPK. This is unfortunate , but Anwar is great because whatever has been hurled at him – he has only come out stronger with clarion calls like TETAP LAWAN TETAP.

We must do the same , whatever the odds if not for our sakes then for our children and grand children.

So, lets TETAP LAWAN TETAP and not lose our focus .

  14. RPK says you can take the Melayu out of the kampong but you can never take the kampong out of the Melayu and RPK himself is a classic example. He does the TV3 interview with the aim of keeping the Altantuya murder story alive, but he has in fact been used by UMNO controlled media to provide the spin as though he has finally admitted that he was wrong in linking Najib and Rosmah to the murder. It may be a little far fetched for Rosmah to be at the C4 murder scene on that particular night, but Najib still lied through his teeth that he did not know Altantuya and had skimmed a commission from the submarine deal. At the same time the interview has made Mr Merican sweat in his pants, and hence the quick press statement in praise of Najib !!!

  15. RPK is just the whistle-blower..the messenger..why be angry with him. Go and read his SD again.

The source of his information is Col Azmi, 2nd in command of military intelligence. Why..the police has not charged Col Azmi for giving false info to RPK. Which means that the allegation that Najib & Rosmah were involved in the killing is true.

Din’s name was mentioned when RPK wanted to check on the credibility and reliability of the source with Anwar.

RPK’s gullibility is that he didn’t take possession of the military intelligence report when he signed the SD. Now he is left high and dry.

He gave the interview a month ago. Good thing TV3 spins the story now. What if they used it in the coming 13GE. Now PR have time to counter the MSM spinning..that Najib & Rosmah were involved and the police has to investigate by interviewing Col Azmi.

  16. What makes you think Lt Col Azmi is still around, La?
Najib in deserve of praise? Hypocrisy, flaccidity and survivalist instincts maybe, but certainly not praise. He can’t even reign in big-mama FLOM and apanama Octo, not to mention his feudalistic warlords..

Whatever you guys are saying and however you say it – just means is that we Tumbangkan this corrupt, irrelevant, divisive, archaic, kleptocratic governance. Is it not?

RPK has had his day in the sun. He has served his purpose, whatever it was. It’s Din’s and other non-aligned bloggers time to improve their suntan. Then we too, will go quietly into the night..

  17. Ken,
Just like David Marshall of Singapore, a Baghdad Jew. The only JEW who become the FIRST chief minister…..Guillible, naive fool……Of course, RPK has contributed greatly in anyway
And Zaid Ibrahim…..He’s like Ong Eng Guan…..You know the history of PAP is fascinating…..How Devan Nair refused to leave Malaysia during the seperation because he needed to complete his “tour of duty” in Bangsar. It’s with him, DAP was formed who continue the fight for Malaysian Malaysia
As for those who supported Ketuanan Melayu, why Brunei never join Malaysia

  18. Original Transcript of RPK – Alang Bendahara Interview
by MCLM on Thursday, 14 April 2011 at 14:02.Q1: Why make the revelation now, why didn’t you correct the media reports soon after your SD came out two years ago?

Actually the SD was signed 3 years ago, not 2 years ago. And it was published the very next day and I was arrested and charged almost immediately.

I have been writing article upon article over the last 3 years saying that I did not make any allegation about Rosmah Mansor and the two Lt Kols husband and wife. What I said was that an informer had informed me about the matter. By the way, have you read my SD yet? I would suspect not, as many who comment do so without reading it. That is why you said 2 years instead of 3. Or else you would have known it was signed in June 2008.

Anyway, is it my job to correct what the mainstream media intentionally distorts? And did anyone from the mainstream media talk to me? Most of the mainstream media actually covered my trials but still they misreported the whole thing.

Are you saying I am to blame for the misdeeds and malicious acts of others? Their job is to whack me and that is what they did. Now, after 3 years of getting whacked, I am whacking back. Is this not my right?

Anyway, the interview was done 2 months ago, not now. People ask me why now, just before the Sarawak elections?

2 months ago there was no confirmation of the Sarawak elections. So when do I do it? After the Sarawak elections? Then, after the Sarawak elections, people will say why now, just before the 13th GE? So I wait until after the 13th GE and people will still ask, why now, just before a by-election?

So when should I do it? After Malaysia bans elections?

Q2: Can you comment on Din Merican’s denial that he was involved in the attempt to discredit Rosmah and Najib?

Did I say he was involved? I just asked him to check with Anwar Ibrahim the background of Lt Kol Azmi Zainal Abidin and that was what he did. And he admitted this in his Blog posting. So what is the issue? Why accuse me of something I did not do?

Q3: Aside from your Statutory Declaration, do you have any proof of the involvement of the people you mentioned in the attempt to discredit Najib and Rosmah?

What do you mean by proof? Video recordings of them in towels in a hotel room? Define ‘proof’. Anwar was convicted and sentenced to 15 years jail in 1999 based on testimony. Testimony is proof and that was good enough to sentence Anwar to 15 years jail. My testimony is even better. It is in the form of an SD.

Q4: Now talks on the ground is that your sudden revelation is because you want to return to Malaysia. Your comment?

Talks on the ground is that Najib was caught kalwat in a Port Dickson hotel room. Do you want to ask Najib this? Who cares about talks on the ground? If the government says I am welcome back in Malaysia and I tell the government to go to hell because I love it in the country of my birth what then are you going to say?

And what ‘sudden revelation’? Have you not heard what I said? I have been repeating this again and again over the last 3 years. What’s so sudden about saying the same thing over 3 years? You mean I kept silent the last 3 years and only today I am talking?

Q5: You have also been accused of shifting attention from the Sarawak election with your latest allegation. Your thoughts.

Shifting attention? You really must improve your communication skills because I don’t understand what you mean. I have also been accused of going to church every Sunday and that my wife and I have left Islam to become Catholics.

Do you really think I care what they say? My interview was done before the announcement of the Sarawak elections. Maybe they held the Sarawak elections to shift attention from my interview since my interview came first.

Q6: Where does your loyalty lie now that you have turned the tables against Anwar and the opposition front?

You must be smoking something. Let me know what it is so that I can get some. My loyalty from Day One was always with the rakyat: dulu, kini dan selama-lamanya. Now, which part of the word rakyat don’t you understand?

    Raja Petra Kamarudin

  19. Din,
I hope that we should continue whacking Taib Mahmud. This is the kinda distraction we does not need. Watch Yes Prime Minister……Official Secrets…..See how Jim Hacker divert issues. You can watch the whole show. RPK doesn’t really understand the real essence of Anthony Jay/Jonathan Lynn’s work. Otherwise, he would not vouch for third force

  20. Never mind what RP said or what the implications of his latest salvo mean. He’s his own man and we’d be wasting precious time trying to read in between the lines.

When all is said and done, it still absolves Rosemajib of NOTHING! These are the facts:

    1. A foreign national, Altantuya was murdered on M’sian soil and blown up using C4 explosives.

    2. There has been testimony in open court that immigration records were erased.

    3. Despite one of the longets trials in our history, the main accused was found not guilty without his defence being called.

    4. Two policemen found guilty of Altantuya’s muder have not divulged who gave the orders to kill Altantuya.

    5. Govt, police, AG and even the defence seems disinterested to the point of disbelief in finding out the motive for murder.

    6. Security personnel linked to PM & wife and the army have been implicated in events leading up to Altantuya’s disappearance from the vicinity of Razak Baginda’s house.

I say there are more grounds here for a RCI than sex videos and Omega watches in which no one was killed, robbed or deprived of their inalienable human rights!!

As long as PM Najib stalls on this issue, I submit his right to continue leading the country is very, very dicey and suspect.

    Let’s get out priorities right!

    dpp
we are all of 1 Race, the HUman Race

  21. Oh forgot. It’s all linked to $530 million paid as “support and facilitation fees” to Razak Baginda’s company, Perimekar which was acquired by Boustead Co, a Plc

  22. I am with donplyapuks. As long as Najib does not come clean and continues to hide behind the swearing of the koran, he is not man enough to defend his own honour, meaning he has something to hide, meaning he is unable to answer the accusations levelled against, meaning he must be guilty of the crimes he has been accused. Even a nobody like would own up to defend my honour, what more the leader of Malaysia!

  23. RPK says he did not, only by making that statutory declaration, accuse Najib and Rosmah of the crime of murder. Technically, he is right.

But really RPK? Don’t take us for fools.

  24. The only way to get Najib to say something was to call him as witness in the case against Razak Baginda (either by the prosecution – and since the prosecution did not want to do it because it could expose him to perjury i.e. lying under oath to protect himself, – failing which the defense could call him as their witness). Any politician worth his salt knows that he does not need to respond to allegations in the court of public opinion. But clearly Najib has something to hide. What is it??

  25. According to reliable PKR sources, RPK is under the payroll of Mamak Octo. If true he is an active participant of the on-going sandiwara . Good luck Malaysia !!

  26. Najib clearly has something to hide. Could it be his role in the purchase of the submarine? We know that the UMNO led government goes on a shopping spree for expensive equipment every time there is an election for obvious reasons i.e to fund the elections. And we also know that these politicians would line their own pockets while doing so. Sweeterners thrown in by foreign suppliers are a matter of public records though in the U.S. it is illegal.

For all we know the murder of that Mongolian woman could be a case of a criminally predisposed personality in uniform wanting to impress his boss. Najib had to cover-up the matter so as not to expose the wheeling and dealing and the unsavoury ways UMNO does business.

  27. Could it be that Najib was trying to cover among others his scandalous relationship with the Mongolian translator who acted as go-between in the negotiations? Najib’s reputation among masseuses in KL begining in the ’70s is that of a sexual predator.

What else would emerge from the washing of dirty linen in public that a public trial would entail?

  28. Where is Dato in all this mess? Dato went fishing.
    ________
Mongkut Bean, what mess are you talking about?. I made my statement and that is all I have to say. –Din Merican

  29. OK!!! So much for the distraction with RPK. Should we all go back to the Sarawak election!!!

Stay focus, guys! We are talking about our future here … our children’s future …. our grandchildren’s future. Changing Sarawak government is the first step.

    PLEASE, stay FOCUSED!!!

  30. Look at the spin going on…now Najib says based on the RPK interview he and Rosmah has been absolved of involment in the ALtantuya murder case. Come on NAjib your hangers on and our embassy officials in Europe know that you play musical chairs with women involving in particular your partner in crime Razak Baginda as well as creaming off commision from defence deals. Part of divine retribution Fat Mama will never let you go out on overseas junkets anymore without her tagging along !!! So no more orgasams on the sidelines !!

  31. RPK 2008: Najib & Rosmah murdered Altantuya. Anwar to Din Merican to RPK and Bala, proceed with the SD.

Hail RPK, you are a man of principle, you are one in a million star. No money can buy you. You are our hero. bravo.

RPK 2011: I never believed Najib & Rosmah murdered Altantuya. It was CONSPIRACY by Anwar to stop him from becoming PM at all cost. How could Rosmah be in deep jungle in midnite. Ridiculous accusation to be believe.

Damn you RPK. You sold your soul. How much BN paid you. You drunk fella no principle. TV3 interview is a conspiracy. Its a fake RPK, he can’t be that bulky stomach. TV3 spin, its not what RPK meant. It psy-war wakaka, Saifudin has proof cheque payment by UMNO to RPK. Focus on Sarawak, Taib paid RPK bla3 million. No video poof but Najib still murderer. Anwar on sexvideo, its not Anwar its conspiracy by Hishmamuddin. Bla3. RPK now sold his principle to BN for $$$millions. Money can buy anything.

I pity these Pakatan people. They are so confused now.

  32. “RPK is just the whistle-blower..the messenger..why be angry with him. Go and read his SD again.”

whistleblower kahkahkah, but where’s the proof, the witness??? produce la.

So does Dato Eskay, he’s just the whistle-blower..the messenger..too why be angry with him. Go see video, omega, twitter blunder. Its not hearsay, fake SD, its hardcopy evidences.

“Najib is accused of murder. Najib must proof his innocent” but, but, but Anwar is accused of Sodomy. Anwar need not proof his innocent”
    wkwkwkwk….

I pity these Pakatan people. They are so confused now.

I pity these Pakatan people. They are so confused now.

  33. “According to reliable PKR sources, RPK is under the payroll of Mamak Octo”

    according to reliable PKR sources????

    according to reliable PKR sources????

    wakakaka….some people still day-dreaming….

according to reliable PKR sources, RPK will be appointed as UMNO minister next month……wakakaka

  34. Too much of a good life has destroyed his brain. I knew the guy will sing a different tune one day. He’s too egoistic and conceited for his own good, or anyone’s. Must be running out of money living the high life outside the country. His stories were too far-fetched most of the times. The fact that he was in constant touch with Mahathir the old fart tells a lot about his loyalty. Sigh… another one bought over.

  35. Hey Kiasu…Anwar is on yrail for Sodomy 2, and crucified by the BN government for the sex video. But Najib is being cleared of his involment in the Altantuya murder and commission on the arms deals by of all people ” the fugitive blogger” now annointed by Najib himself as SAINT RPK. Hey Najib, how low can you GO ? The same RPK who stoutly defends Balasubramaniam’s 1st. SD and question and answer swssion with MACC !! Go jump from Macc building RPK !!!

  36. From the beginning I read RPK for what he is. Everytime I criticised the guy, I got harsh words from readers — from readers who hero worship the guy for having the guts to speak his mind on issues, to call it like it is etc etc. Now these very same people felt betrayed and are crying out for his blood.

    You should not feel betrayed.

  37. Whatever the situation Anwar is a brave man in spite of the dirt that UMNO more has thrown at him. Only someone who is knows he is innocent can withstand this dirty onslaught. This does not change the fact we must select better leaders for the good of the country and our future. These better leaders can come from any group. We cannot let the present situation carry on with the lies, injustice, corruption and bad governance being a daily occurrence. It’s your choice but our Malaysia. If we wait any longer then the barakah will taken away. Amin.

  38. Mr Bean,

I agree with you. I never thought RPK was credible but you’ll always get bombarded if you say anything bad about him. I stopped going to Malaysia Today years ago. I never take him as anything other than a fiction writer.

  39. Hey, all this reminds me of the war of the running dogs, when the members of the CT started cutting their leaders heads for a cool few million pounds.

I agreed with Bean 100%. Why feel betrayed by those who perpetuated policies against minorities – they can do to you what they did to us. They have no morals to begin with.

  40. Pakatan people are kiasu, kiasi and confused?
Not when Barisan wonkies have a cackle like this:
    “wakakaka and wkwkwkwk”
It’s MCLM that is dead. Long live MCLM..!
PR is still very much alive. Don’t believe?
    Watch and learn..

  41. Silly Phang threw in a reward of RM100k for rumor mongering. He should reinstate his offer and this time widen his choice of perpetrators to include RPK.

  42. RPK: Anwar is not fit to be a leader. A leader must know how to control his people. Anwar failed miserably.

Anwar’s latest response: RPK is a liar. RPK menfitnah saya.

Saifuddin Nasution will say this tomorrow: Rosmah paid RPK $$$million. I have photocopy of the cheque here. (hello brader, where is the cheque copy for Gopala???)

Haiya, called me anything you like, no big deal. But the fact is:-

I pity these Pakatan people. They are so confused now.

RPK, HERO YESTERDAY ZERO TODAY. Beware Dato Din, Pakatan’s verdict on you will be next.

  43. Learn from history.
    Political personalities come and go.

But the people’s movement for change
(regime change, dear “Kiasu”) is gathering
    momentum and becoming unstoppable.

  44. “It is difficult to free fools from the chains they revere.”
    – Voltaire
The above quote is so apt to describe where M’sia is right now.

  45. “Sekarang baru terhegeh-hegeh nak mengampu Najib.”
    Matsab – April 14, 2011 at 11:54 pm

See, this is evidence that the mindset is one of “mengampu” rather than a civil servant appointed to serve the people. M’sia is doomed.

Mengampu is the only word everyone in M’sia knows.

For our non malay speaking visitors here “mengampu” has become a word in the dictionary of M’sia and it means ” sucking up” to the Politicians to get pittance from them instead of working hard for their livelihood. Everyone is sucking up to everyone else to divide M’sia and share the loot as if its their own .

  46. However I should add that these allegation against Dato’ is obviously from an UMNO supporter who knows nothing else but that mentality and now he is applying that to others. By the words used one can tell the background they come from and what practices they are used to.

  47. The sd part is when they read this blog the Umno suporters have no discernment to even differentiate that this blog exposes issues that we can discuss maturely and perhaps those in power who read can recommned changes in Policy . They cannot even discern that anymore.

    M’sia is doomed.

  48. CLF,
MCLM is formed with good intention. However, it’s not the right time. Just RPK told us to go back to school to study, I say study what…….We should learn lesson from history
Many folks can’t understand the essence of Jonathan Lynn/Anthony Jay’s work (Yes Prime Minister/Minister). Even RPK would not fully understand it. Else, he would have formed MCLM properly
RPK was like David Saul Marshall, idealist with good intention. In Singapore, who the hell don’t know who David Marshall……The Jew has helped many Singaporeans gotten citizenships. The one who fought criminal court cases with lawyer fee charges as low as S$1. He sincerely wanted independent for Singapore through self rule. In his haste, he blew it. Anedotes tell of him inviting LKY & his lieutenants joining in the fight for self rule & then independence. When things did not go his way, he left his apartment leaving behind food…..Last check the guests were munching happily while Marshall was fuming elsewhere

    CLF,
RPK called us bodoh sombong…..Yes, perhaps it’s true…..But then tell me what happen to Razaleigh in sabah that sunk Semangat 46……Something for you to reflect upon

    Guys & Gals,
Last day in Sarawak…..Lets focus in tumbangkan Taib/najib

  49. We’re not doomed yet, Kat. There’s still a fighting chance and it will happen after Saturday, April 16 beginning in Sarawak. Have faith in the Opposition.

Change will come so long as thinking people like us don’t give up or give in or cave in – for want of a better word.

  50. Stop it blokes and ladies, it’s no use accusing others of this conspiracies get real! The issues here are the lies, injustice, corruption and bad governance being a daily occurrence. It is your choice but our Malaysia, before God take away the blessing. We should be the force i.e. the Middle Group i.e. those who can get info from both sides and not cowed by money politics because they cannot reach us or they do not care about Us. The bigger this group is the better for the country and the politician knows this but are not aware how big it is. If reaches 30 to 40 % then changes will come and everyone will on their toes. So vote for better leaders it’s your choice but our Malaysia.

  51. Yes Tok Cik I hear you. Change is difficult but change we must. The only constant in life is change. M’sia is not spared from it nor anyone else in this world.

  52. No la, he’s just another neo-colonist whose gearts have enjoyed the golden spoon….After all how can a royalist made a stray dog in a foreign wilderness. He must saved the ketuanan also whom he sees tainted by the uncooked socialist opposition with a price so easy to ransom from desperadoes. LKY saw the loopholes so much ahead. Btw, it’d be the best dialectic to have the shit splash all over and see who bites it or rather who dare to shout the loudest. So let us hammer on the issue and see what comes.

  53. Yes, Kat that’s the spirit. If the Arabs can do it why can’t we? I still have faith in the Opposition in spite of the many uncertainties.

We’ll be there one day. So long, like I have said, level thinking people like us don’t give up or give in or cave in.

This is a lovely country. I gave 30 years of my life defending it.

I ain’t gonna walk away just because RPK does an about turn and the white-haired rajah refuses to fade away…

  54. There is a life after Sarawak, guys.

RPK is not about Sarawak or about the fate of Pakatan. It is about the integrity of some of our civil society advocates who claim to be fighting for change.

My beef with RPK, if you will, is that he is a poor choice of a civil society advocate for change because he cannot be taken seriously. Seen in this context, I hate to use the cliche but he is his own worst enemy. He does not and never did have the credibility needed for a career in politics and government. But then few of our present leaders have.

RPK is somebody you would like to have on your side in a school debating team. He sees the flaw in your argument and can punch holes in it and riles up the crowd in the process. But he is not somebody I would like to have in the trenches next to me fighting the enemy.

I blame you guys for putting him on such a high pedestal and now you are struggling to find a new slot for him. That should never have happened.

Of course, it is always a breath of fresh air to have someone unafraid to incur the wrath of the authorities (for want of a better word) speaking out on the issues especially after his fall-out with the PKR leader in a non-partisan manner. For a long while, he challenged the thinking of ordinary Malaysians, teaching them how to see the ghost around every corner, not to assume anything and to question authority, telling Malaysians they too have rights as individuals. In short, to be the Dennis the Menace that is in all of us.

  55. RPK seems a conflicted individual and this shows through his statements. As a boy growing up he must have been a hyper active kid and his constant need for attention survived into his adulthood. He is enjoying the limelight, the fifteen minutes of fame while it lasts and his globe trotting confirms he has found that niche he has been looking for, and — sought after as guest speaker for his unconventional views — he would do well to consider putting a price for those speeches and interviews he gives.

  56. Mongkut Bean
    Wah early bird I see.
RPK is a Gurkha foot soldier, not officer material. He’s street wise in and around KL who worked his way up from a cuci kereta with Champion Motors under Pak Chat along Jalan Campbell.
He’s a good story teller something he learned at Alice Smith school. He’s always been an anti establishment but because of his royal bloodlines managed to get away.
Anyway I’m still confused on what he’s trying to achieve by talking to TV3. He considers people he mentioned as collateral damage.

  57. Statement: “Only BN leaders are our saviours”

Translation: Only BN leaders can save us kleptocrats from being prosecuted for corruption, abuse of power etc after a more democratic government replaces the BN regime.

  58. Yes I agree with Mr Bean. RPK seems abit scattered. No structure in his thoughts and I often wondered when I used to read his articles if he had investigated them first.

I think though that generally M’sia needs an Opposition with structure and a credible lot of new Politicians that speak a higher language. One of Policies to protect those weak and vulnerable. If a new breed of Politicians can stick to issues then we can make it.

  59. From a cuci kereta at Champion Motors, Jln Campbell? Must be in the 70s. Left on his own early in life – the product of a biracial marriage – to fend for himself, he went into motorcycle distribution and rice trading (the latter made difficult by competiton from the state development corporations and such other statutory bodies) it is not suprising that he became the anti-establisment type and a maverick. Yes, I’d agree with you semper fi that he makes a good story teller.

  60. He’s a loose cannon all right thus be careful of friendly fire.
BTW I was informed that your uncle Syed Hussein is suffering from dementia, is that true?
