UMNO-BN must win GE-13 whatever  it takes: Dato Mahfuz’s Expose’

by http://www.malaysiakini.com

PAS Vice-President Mahfuz Omar today claimed that he has evidence to show that the government has set up a ‘task force’ to naturalise foreigners so that they can vote in the upcoming general election.

Quoted in party organ Harakahdaily, Mahfuz (left) named an aide to Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, and senior officials of the National Security Council, National Registration Department and the Election Commission.

The names have been withheld by Malaysiakini pending confirmation. “The BN government cannot face political pressure and are trying to deal with it by bringing in foreigners to vote for BN,” he told a press conference at the parliament lobby today.

He added that the evidence, which was not described by Harakahdaily, would warrant a royal commission of inquiry, and that the election cannot be held until the RCI’s report is ready.

When met later, Mahfuz refused to reveal how he got hold of this information nor substantiate his claim.”This is information obtained from within,” said Mahfuz, stressing that he cannot reveal his source.

However, Mahfuz said he would willing to reveal all should a RCI be formed to probe his claim. Supporting his call, PAS Youth information chief Ridhuan Mohd Nor in a statement said the allegations were “very serious” and concerned the sovereignity of the country. “This gives the impression that our country can at any time be sold to foreign powers by government leaders who betray the rakyat’s trust,” he said.

Last year, PAS activists had cornered bus loads of foreigners at a resort in Sungai Merab, who were allegedly part of a MyKad scam.  Police, however, claimed that the foreigners were there for an entrepreneurial course.

  1. What is happening? Desperate times require desperate measures. I am not optimistic that anything will come out of this expose. RCI? Why waste taxpayers money and time. Berish 3.0 will be good in drawing the attention of the international community that Malaysian democracy is in fact a plutocracy. But world opinion is irrelevant. Even the US administration will turn a blind eye to what is happening to Obama’s partner in the coalition of moderates.

Why should Americans be interested in a country they can’t even place on the world map?? If you do, you will need the help of the Sandman.

  3. yup! Its an internal problem that needs to be sorted out internally. Quite alarming is the allegation. FM Anifah of all people considering he being a BN man had screamed foul at the recent issuance of about 40,000 mykad’s to suspected foreign nationals by NRD. A move said to be marshalled by HM Hishamuddin and calculated as not only a way of cementing BN chances of sure victory in the impending polls but also a scheme deliberately promoted by factions within Sabah UMNO and their fed counterparts to oust current CM , Musa Aman.

Danildaud, UMNO-BN should call for elections in the next few months say in June and let the voters decide. But they are afraid that the Pakatan controlled states will not dissolve their state assemblies. The game is complicated and the stakes are high. It affects Najib’s political future and UMNO-BN as government.–Din Merican

  4. Tell this fella Mahfuz why must he wait for The Royal Commission to convened to reveal whatever information and related names if he really has the guts??..Don’t shoot in the dark..you could get shot in the back…! As I see it, its just the Pakatan strategy to delay the polls knowing BN has the edge over them now…
    _____________
If BN has an edge over Pakatan, why not hold elections now. The taste of the pudding is in the eating. Further delays are generating a lot of uncertainty. Let get the elections over and done with. Rocky, please tell me why Najib is prevaricating as you obviously are know what is up in BN.–Din Merican

  5. Hate to say this but UMNO-BN will win 13GE. Why? Because Malaysians are unable to see past race, and UMNO will exploit this. It is sad to read so many negative comments about Ambiga leading Bersih 3.0 from narrow minded Malaysians. Many cant accept her simply because she is a Hindu lady. Because we are divided as we are unable to see past race, UMNO will benefit.

    We deserve UMNO-BN.

  6. “..Malaysians are unable to see past race.”

Where did you drop out from? That’s what we’ve been saying all along. That’s why the old ducks and dogs here have been agitating for change. Ambiga is targeted, because she is a leader who is willing to take the heat. So what are you griping about? Grow up!

As for Mahfuz’s revelation, it really doesn’t change the equation. I sense a deep weariness from all this posturing and possibly even apathy amongst the Malays. The Chinese are gung-ho and the Indians are waiting for the sky to fall. What;s the situation in Sabah like danil?

CLF, a friend who just returned from Sabah told me that the people of the state are keen to have autonomy. If you push Musa Aman and gang out, it will be the end of UMNO there. Sabah will be like Sarawak; no UMNO in Taib Land. For all his faults, Pehin Sri had foresight to resist UMNO’s entry as a political party in his state. UMNO-BN leaders have no clue about the politics in the Land below the Wind and the Land of the Hornbills. That applies to Pakatan as well.–Din Merican

  7. “We deserve UMNO-BN.” Semua Boleh

That’s right. We deserve what we get; but more important we get what we deserve.

  8. Whether the international community will take notice or not doesn’t matter, there will be at least 6 sit-ins in Bolehland and 30 cities around the world. I am sitting in as far as I am concerned, tear gas or no tear gas! Because I cannot allow this country to go down without a fight!

Why is Najib so afraid of a free and fair elections? BN will lose that is why! And so he will win even if the win is without dignity – that’s the kind of pundek we have as a leader!

  9. CLF, a friend who just returned from Sabah told me that the people of the state are keen to have autonomy. — Dato

What is Pakatan’s stand on the issue of self-government or autonomy? It is time Putrajaya grants autonomy to these two states. Let them govern themselves and Putrajaya maintains control over foreign policy.

  10. Dear C.L Familiaris,

Am not griping, just stating the facts. Please note the difference. If you are unable to accept facts, it looks like you are the one that need to do some serious growing up … or at least expand that half a wit of a brains of yours.

If my opinion differs from yours, all you need to do is agree to disagree. No need to throw out all your toys from your lil’ pram. Act your age, dude not your shoe size.

As for change, it aint gonna happen no matter how hard or loud you ‘old ducks or dogs’ scream. 13GE will come and go, UMNO-BN will still be at Putrajaya the day after.

  11. A good Quote there Kathy…..where did you fish it from ? Fishing expedition always good….and go cross-borders without inhibition. may be you will earn ‘treasures’ !
This is one, which is in the Jewish spiritual tradition similar to yours, b’coz we have always to be optimistic about life & Existence, quote :

” ….Time creates the illusion of Chaos…whereas there is hidden ‘Order’..”

Over-coming this mental state, one can thus be able to ” remove” most Contradictions, Paradoxes & Illusions that encumber or ‘ trap’ the human mind…. otherwise mind becomes sick & unhealthy or negative. We need to stay Positive !
May be 2 cents worth ?
