Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Men and Women of Peace and Goodwill

December 23, 2009

Dear Friends and Associates of the Malaysian DJ Blogger,

drkam and ITomorrow, December 24, will be Christmas Eve. My wife Dr Kamsiah and I wish all our Christian friends in Malaysia and around the world a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

In place of the traditional Christmas card, we have chosen a few well known Christmas songs for your listening pleasure on this festive occasion. There are many well known singers who have produced albums about Christmas. But our choices are standards, known to all, the young and the not so  young who celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ on December 25, 2009.

May there be  Peace in the world and we hope we can put politics aside and enjoy the special occasion in the company of family, relatives and friends. While we do that, let us not forget the less fortunate among us, for whom Christmas is but a dream yet to become reality. They are millions of them around the world. Temper your joyous festivities with thoughts and prayers for them, especially those braving the wintry and blistering cold.

I also take this occasion to thank all partners of this blog for their contributions in terms of ideas, thoughts, views and perspectives. You have enriched Dr. Kamsiah and I by your participation. I am proud to say with few exceptions you all have been wonderful interlocutors. Although we may not agree, we are at least civil towards each other.

Terima kasih daun keladi, tahun hadapan menanti, kalau boleh tulislah lagi.  Terimalah salam muhibbah dari kami.–Dr. Kamsiah dan DJ Din Merican

  3. Let us be happy during this festive season and end of year holidays and forget about those irritating pariah politicians for a while.

We can together still Make Malaysia a Better Country as we enter into the second decade of the second millennium.

Thank God we are still alive to see and experience the wonders of human ingenuity and brilliance to make Science bow to Humanity’s wishes , and not the other way round with Religion.

  6. Dear Din & lovely Dr. Kam,

Thanks so much for giving us hope for a better tomorrow. It’s heroes like you who inspire us not to give up our fight for our beloved country while those who are supposed to protect us are stealing us blind and imprison us. May God smile and protect both of you and your families. Merry X’mas to all.

  7. Merry X-mas and Happy New Year to all.

It is normal routine that on each special occasions and festive seasons we start to send happy greetings and best wishes to people around us. It is a big bonus for Telco companies and business outlets. The celebrations are good for certain groups of people and sad occasions for others.

However, it is up to each heart receiving those greetings to interpret the real meaning of such greetings.By nature generally children are happier and really happy because they accept the present moment of happiness with free minds. Some are dreaming and waiting for Santa and Satarina. On the other hands, poor parents having sleepless nights trying to budget in order be the Santa Claus for their kids.

In this country we have many occasions to share these happy celebrations. People of all faiths sharing special days as fellow human beings. These should be the way of life each and every days of our life. We should have more compassion towards others.

Wise man never wait for special days to wish others happiness. Their heart are happy and they have lot of love and compassion for all living beings. For me, every morning I will say in my prayers, “MAY ALL BEINGS BE HAPPY AND FREE”.

  8. To Din Merican, Dr Kamsiah & family, to all other bloggers and readers, happy holidays, Merry Christmas and a happy new year 2010!, Lets all take a good break but continue with reolve to get rid of the ills this country is suffering from for the sake of our childrena and their children… Happy Holidays!

  9. DIN : Thank you for continuing to allow us the space to express ourselves. Malaysia is a great country because of its people and we must strive to keep it that way.

Happy holidays to you and Dr. Kam
