Mahathir claims to be Unifer of the Malays

Former Premier (Tun) Dr Mahathir Mohamad has refuted claims that he is the source of the Malays splitting up, as a result of his decision to sack his deputy Anwar Ibrahim in 1998.
Mahathir was quoted by Sinar Harian and also Utusan Malaysia as saying that Malays had been split since the Malayan Union days, citing UMNO founder Onn Jaafar leaving the party and causing a split.
Similarly with former Finance Minister, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah who left 
UMNO to form Semangat 46, he said. “The Malays have been split for a long time and not as a result of my action in sacking Anwar in 1998″.
Hence, to blame my action of removing Anwar as the source of Malays splitting was certainly incorrect. He (Anwar) has questionable character and he is not PM material,” said Mahathir.
“We cannot accept a person who has low morals to be a leader as we will be ashamed of it.”
Mahathir was answering questions posed to him at a seminar in Terengganu. The former Premier added that the UMNO supreme council decision was also unanimous and it was not solely his decision to dismiss Anwar.
He said the people do not see Anwar’s moral problems as he is a good orator, and he used it with great effect to deviate the rakyat’s thinking. Mahathir said Anwar, instead of faulting himself, has put the blame on others.
Mahathir is the father of racism, the mother of corruption who not only split the poor Malays but is also the root cause of disunity in the country. He is a dictator who established two legal systems in one nation, further dividing the people with one law for Muslims & another for non-Muslims in total breach of the constitution that establish a secular nation in view of the multi-religious & multi-ethnic groups.
He perpetuated further division with the Never Ending Policy (NEP) where one race (whether rich or poor) has more privileges, benefits & rights than another.He unilaterally declared his so-called Islamic state, which is in total conflict & breach of the constitution & totally disregarding the feelings & rights of the other multi-religious & multi-ethnic bumiputras in the East. Sabah’s & Sarawak’s unity, harmony, the economy & the main ethnic make up of the bumiputras are forever destroyed & made the poorest states when this man, with absolute majority abused his power for 20 years. He is just senile.
Mahathir always has his take on everything. He spins and distorts. His SOP is to blame others. But he too knows that most of us no longer believe him. Keep talking to yourself, if that helps you to cleanse your soul.–Din Merican

I want to know given that he has given citizenships to perhaps millions of illegal immigrants (with bumi status!), what basis is there for ‘hak melayu’ given that the claim of original bargain for ‘hak melayu’ was in return of acceptance of ‘jus soli’???
Let us refresh the old goat’s memory that Anwar was strongly recommended by him to join UMNO. He became deputy PM and finance minister at such a high stature in a short period of time. Now he says that people don’t see Anwar’s moral problem as he is a good orator. The old goat is biting his own tongue when he is talking and not listening when the people are talking about his 22 years as a former head of Malaysia.
That is Tun Mahathir – his “My Way” approach but he is entitled to his own perspectives. Despite many accusations, allegations and blames directed against him, even labelled as senile, he is still being asked for opinions and interviewed. The public read, commented and showed interest in what he said though, in a diverse free society, some disagree with him. Carry on Tun, keep speaking aloud.
wow..I am proud. It takes an Indian perdatng impostor to unify the Malays. I thank my fellow Malay bretheren for trusting an Indian as their unifyer. I too am an Indian I could not even unify my teenage children.
Yes ” Uni-fire ” indeed, he Fired all his Deputies in his twenty odd years of ruling and ” privatising ” all the ” powers ” one can think of……
One of them was the former IGP who played with ‘ fire ‘ and was kicked into the goal, by landing into the Kajang-goal for two solitary years….
Malaysian kids should be taught not to play with fire from tender years, not even playing with fire-crackers, b’coz that burns your fingers in the end….

if you haven’t unified the malays the malays would be better off today then they are now and the pendatangs would have been integrated in the society properly.

Anwar must be removed so that the less capable Malay or Indian can lead the country. That message was loud and clear. Do you know whose intention that was?
