Soros and Mahathir: Who is sacred of his own Shadow?
by Nigel Aw (10-08-12)@http://www.malaysiakini.com
Pakatan Rakyat MPs have rubbished former Pemier Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s claim that a vote for the Opposition would be akin to a vote for billionaire and former currency speculator George Soros.
“I don’t want to involve the former premier because he is no longer relevant in our politics, but the words are those of someone who is senile,” Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua told a press conference at the Parliament lobby this morning.
“We have no relationship whatsoever with George Soros. We don’t know George Soros.”
He said Pakatan has no Jewish agenda and that it, like the government, has always been supportive of the Palestinian struggle and against Israeli oppression of the state.
In a commentary published in the New Sunday Times yesterday, Mahathir had warned that voting for the opposition would be like voting for Soros, who he claimed was attempting to colonise Malaysia.
Pua also hit out at Mahathir for double standards on the matter. “When Mahathir met Soros, he shook his hand and asked him to support his organisation (the Perdana Global Peace Foundation) to combat war crimes.
“When he asks for Soros’ help, there was no problem. But when people vote for Pakatan, that’s a ‘vote for Soros’ – there is no logic in this.”
In the commentary, Mahathir had also defended his meeting with Soros. “When inviting him (Soros) to join the campaign to make war a crime, I was not talking about Malaysian politics,” he wrote.
“Certainly, I did not ask for, nor did he give to the Perdana Global Peace Foundation, any money. This campaign to make war a crime is for the good of all humanity – not just of Malaysia.”
‘Not in agenda’
At a separate press conference, Kubang Kerian MP and PAS Vice-President Salahuddin Ayub also dismissed the allegation as “without basis”.
“Never in the mind of Pakatan leaders would we betray our country… The bottom line is that we want to save our country, and receiving foreign funds is not part of our agenda.Mahathir is afraid of his own shadow, that is why he is threatening the people (by saying) that a vote for Pakatan is a vote for Soros.”
That senile rascal is still at it,is it??? Please God don’t let him Die yet,I wanna let him see his legacy crumble all around him,the shame his Idiot children has to go thru,I’m gonna let him on a little secret,God punishes you on earth first then in the after life, you’d be the brime stone unless you repent n give me half of your takings,heee3.no laa, give back to the Govt n turn over your cronies n their cronies, from 2013 onwards, the Govt would be busy hiring accountants and hackers and every Malaysian even with tiny evidence would help.BN has died,Long Live the King n his new Govt (ahem,if they too Forkup, out they go the next round)

——————–
When Mahathir took office as the country’s fourth PM, he thought Malaysia was still a British colony. So he stormed Carcosa and took it over. He also thought the Japanese were still around. To please the Japanese he had all his Cabinet Ministers dressed looking like Japanese factory managers with name tags. He sent his youngest son Mukhriz (the one with the lowest IQ) to Japan to serve as an apprenctice, to find out for himself what makes the Japanese tick.
Fast forward several decades later, the Old Goat is still at it. Now it is Soros.
Folks, dont consider Mamakuty as being irrelevant. By all available circumstances it is apparent he is still the power behind UMNO and it is still his calling that steers the UMNO direction. he is neither senile nor irrelevant , he may be illogical but when has been the malaysian politics logical. Take heed.
How convinient to resurrect Soros the bogeyman to distract the real culprit Nor Md. Yacop who does the bidding for his master the old goat. The sickening part is that this is cerita lama but replayed again and again. Is this a sure sign that they are running out of new tricks? Make no mistake, even simple folks know better these days of what is a spin and what is not.
Now back to the future. Will Pakatan commit itself to abolish negotiated contracts and make it mandatory for open and competitive biddings? When this is implemented, overnight the country’s CPI ranking will improve by several notches. This scrouge of negotiation has been the major source of all corruptions for the past 3 decades beginning with the rule of the old goat.
Time for Malaysia to turn a new page.
Treat the latest comment from The Demented Michiavelli(TDM) with sarcasm. He is just anxious to be in the continual public limelight. To accomplish that he has to create one controversy after another. He must be very lonely in the palatial home that he is presently staying in The Mines gated community! Very imprudent of a former Premier to hog the limelight in such manner. As what former Paul Keating’s apt description of him- recalcitrant.Do I need to say more.Just forget and ignore him.
This sacred bolehland slicker is scared of nothing.
that he continues to be of interest to dato din and friends is testimony to his continued relevance to the nation………when will we be able to ignore him?
Soros should be given a MyKad and nominated to stand for election in Malaysia. That way he can stand for election in same constituency as Mahathir or Mukhriz.
M is still relevant today. Just say a few sentences in court in Ling’s trial and Ling is requesting change of charges. Probably go scot free. Malaysia tentu mesti bolih.
