A Message to MACC: Deal with Taib Mahmud if you dare
YOURSAY ‘Now that it has come out in court, will Najib start an investigation on how Sarawak CM Taib got so rich?’

LittleGiant: It is really ‘fortunate’ that Mahmud Abu Bekir Taib is the son of Sarawak CM, who is a ‘great’ friend of the PM.
If, on the other hand, Mahmud is related – even distantly – to an opposition politician, BN would have gone all out and made this divorce case and this court battle an international sensation.
And MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) officials would be happily flying around the whole world (of course, at the expense of our taxpayers’ funds) collecting every bit of evidence. The MACC would not have waited for any one to lodge any report.
If the claim that Sarawak CM is the richest person in Malaysia and possibly in Southeast Asia is true and has basis, the BN government owes the people of Sarawak and also owes the whole nation a clear and honest explanation as to how the Chief Minister of a state managed to amass such mammoth wealth – with just his Chief Minister’s salary in a matter of 30 years?
If he had worked as Chief Minister even for 300 years, it would not have been possible.
Nadarajan Rengasamy: How can we allow such things to happen and not do anything about it? Somebody in the government has to get rid of these kinds of leaders for the betterment of the country.

To prove otherwise, PM Najib Razak and MACC should take steps to recover all the ill-gotten assets of this pirate of Sarawak and his family/siblings totalling over US$21 billion.
Imagine, a chief minister of Sarawak can bring so much wealth to his family while Sarawak remains the poorest state in Malaysia despite its rich resources.

Ordinary Malaysians have to work at two jobs, and borrow to the hilt to survive, while the rich live it up and shows off their diamonds, yachts, holidays and other excesses.

After state Serawak election,MACC raided all Taib Mahmud family’s house and office,his son,his daughter,his sister,his brother but they didnt find anything that can implicated them for corruption.They appear vary rich but of the asset they acquire properly.
Taib is vary smart and smooth.He is a devoted muslim,he know what is right and what is wrong.
The family sold three public company to 1MDB for 1.7 billion rgt.valuatuon wise they can justify but there is nothing in the company except some contract job in Serawak and with Petronas.Taib family is smart and 1MDB appear stupid.
I dont think he or his family worth US 20 billion,otherwise they wont sell RHB shares to EPF.They also struggling to put more money in Kenanga IB.

Din, there are so many ignorant people in Malaysia who still think they are equal to the likes of Najib and Taib Mahmud. The reality is these ordinary Malaysians are just ordinary people and do not have the right to question their leaders. Please ask them to go fly kite and concentrate on getting their job done and getting their salary. Nothing else matters for them.
I got this piece of info from someone in the know about the raid by MACC on Taib. MACC found hordes of cash in Taib’s residence. But it took just one phone call from a crony admitting the cash doesn’t belong to Taib. The money was for safe-keeping…..maybe it was safer than keeping in the bank (pun intended). Of cause this crony pays hundreds of million in taxes and the cash could be “pocket money” when he visits Taib. So it couldn’t stick on Taib.

In most of the Third World countries Top Civil Servants and Politicians are living beyond their means and the government is too poor to fulfil the promise made to provide quality education and health care, quality jobs for the citizens and welfare support for the poor even after running deficit budgets for decades while well connected rich individuals spend the annual emoluments of an average worker even before they wake up. Countries like South Korea, Taiwan, and sorry to mention, Singapore had got wise to this and had put in place four decades ago insitutions in place to ensure that public fund are used for the purpose they are designed for by Civil Servants and Politicians who are educated on the market prices of goods and services before they are allowed to confirm government contracts.
It is still not too late. PEMANDU would do a great service to this country if they could educate our Civil Servants on the Market prices of goods and services before they are allowed to out contracts.

The presumption is that you have title to anything found in your house. If you find $10,000 in 100 bills in my left hand drawer of my desk at home the presumption is that it is mine. That presumption like all presumptions can be rebutted. A bare denial that it is not yours won’t do. And so is the claim by someone that it is his will not pass muster. A million ringgit in cash in a briefcase at home begs the question “Why?” It is not a crime to have large amount of cash in your possession. Fruits of an illegal transaction? Tax evasion? Let’s check if there have been irregularities in his income tax over the last ten years.
It is easier to get the guy on tax evasion charges..
It is time the national investigative agency like MACC be made into an independent agency. It is time the Inland Revenue Department be made into an independent agency and given police and investigative and prosecutorial powers – like the IRS over here.,
Since the days of the trial of Tun Datu Mustapa of Sabah, we know of the activities of M Taib. But due to the fact that he has delivered the votes to UMNO, BN has allowed him to rape and plunder the beautiful Sarawak. What is really sad is the way his family behaves- how trashy and sluttish the way the women wear and waste the tax payers money, and all gotten through the rape and plunder of Malaysia. Malaysia must put this man and his family behind bars and make sure they never rise again. This must be stopped as no where in the world has wealth being gotten so openly and boldly. Shame, shame, shame Mahmud Taib. Does this bring you and your family happiness. Give it back to the people please. So that Malaysians will never need to work so hard just to put their kids through school. Every Malaysian child can have a decent education. Think of the sins you ahev committed. Wake up call for Sarawakian. I always admire West Malaysian, the change of politicians can be happened any time that’s to say if you are doing your works in corrupted manner or not transparent enough and you will sure be grilled or call to tender resignation until further investigation. The RM45billion (45,000million) the Sarawak CM indirectly fleeced from Sarawak; likewise the RM500million bribe in the Scorpene deal and the Mongolian Lady’s murder, and the RM250million spent by Shahzirat; these are 200 million times in magnitude. Let the punishment fit the crime! Shouldn’t they be given 200 million strokes of the rattan and thrown 200 million times down a high-rise building? These are only the tip of the iceberg! Despite all these, these Crims stand, walk and talk so proudly and gloriously. UMNO/BN/PBB are more than rotten to the core, They stink for miles with maggots and worms wriggling in and out of bones. Tragically the natives in Sabah & Sarawak are still ‘asleep,’ led by the noses to vote for BN, making the 2 states the strongest supporters of the evil regime.
