Sudan’s Omar Hassan Al-Bashir skips Langkawi International Dialogue
by The Malaysian Insider @www.themalaysianinsider.com
Sudan’s President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir’s no show at the Langkawi International Dialogue (LID) is not linked to the arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC), said Sudan Ambassador to Malaysia Nadir Yousif Eltayeb
Nadir explained that Bashir had to stay behind to attend to state matters, especially with the split of South Sudan from Sudan on July 9, according to Bernama Online.
Yesterday, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman informed that Bashir was unable to attend although he had confirmed earlier he would be present for the event starting on Sunday. In his place they are sending Sudan’s Foreign Minister Ali Karti for the three-day LID in Putrajaya. Bashir previously attended LID 2007 in Langkawi.
The arrest warrant has been out since March 4, 2009. The ICC accuses Bashir of war crimes in
the Darfur region in Sudan.Nadir said his country did not acknowledge the ICC’s jurisdiction since they are not signatories to the the Hague-based court.
The ambassador shared the the ICC is neo-colonialism out to impose upon certain countries in Africa. He went on further that Bashir has travelled since the warrant’s existence to Eritrea, Egypt, Qatar and Libya, and even to ICC member countries like Chad, Djibouti and Kenya.
Sudan, according to Nadir, looked at the LID as an important platform, and emphasised the strategic relationship Kuala Lumpur and Khartoum had, as seen by the 3,500 Sudanese studying in Malaysia.
One dictator down, but the other, Robert Mugabe will be in Putrajaya because he won’t miss an all expenses paid visit. He wants to touch base with TDM.–Din Merican

Encik Din
HIs wife Grace Mugabe wants to contribute to the Malaysian economy through her
massive shopping sprees too.

Dr Phua,
Grace like her husband is a guest of the Malaysian Government. She is not be paying a single cent; her shopping expenses will be underwritten by Malaysian taxpayers (gifts) and businessmen with interest in Zimbabwe. She is not stupid since she knows how to use her husband’s power.–Din Merican

Malaysia has played host to quite a few rogues. If Idi Amin were to be alive today Maahathir would have extended his invitation. Now is the time to invite Ghadaffi. and earn the western world’s ire. What’s new?

Shouldn’t there be few mor international warrant of arrest against you know who for murder of Mongloian citizens, for rape of Indnesian maid etc?

It’s time to keep the LID on Wisma Putra which is at it’s Nadir.
The quality, if not quantity, of Malaysian diplomats is truly horrendous. Perhaps only fit to carry shopping bags for FLOM.

CLF,
To be fair , there were many good people in WISMA . But 22 years of Mahathirism took care of that my friend. Now what we have is people of the same quality as Ibrahim Ali – CLOWNS .

While we all-righteous, all-knowledgeable useless dickheads debate about al-Bashir’s nadir, he of course prefers to bypass LID to pay homage to Taikor!
What was it about black goats flock together? Can he be arrested on-flight over International airspace? Anyone with a Stinger?

Btw, what’s Petronas exposure in Sudan, which is about to rupture in two entities. How is Petronas dealing with the division of assets? Fumblers will end up paying double dividends – one to Khartoum and the other to the South. None can be repatriated to Labuan. Might as well hock the whole enterprise to PRC, and concentrate on oil-shale gas in N. America. After all, they do best in gaseous industries..

…a stinger rocket? a piece of frozen shit is good enough!
instead these two jokers should be invited to oversee the Bersih 2.0 rally on the 9th of July. their assistance would be invaluable for our running dogs of GOM in controlling the demonstrators!

Who would make the best candidate as minister-in-attendance for Grace Mugabe’s curi-curi malaysia shopping and spending Malaysian taxpayers’ money?

UMNO YOuth also marching on the day Bersih 2.0 and Perkasa are marching.
Are they marching with Bersih 2.0 (for popular democracy) or

But the welcome mat may be because they may have deposited large sums of money in our banks under proxy names.
