Netto on Zaid’s “I Quit” Decision

Terence Netto’s Reaction to News of Zaid Ibrahim’s ” I Quit” Decision

Apparently, Zaid Ibrahim is not convinced that difficult problems and decisions actually improve when they are allowed to simmer a little on a backburner.

Today comes news he has quit PKR, barely a year and a half after joining the party in what has become one of Malaysian politics more stormy individual odysseys.

Wealthy lawyer Zaid, on the threshold of his seventh decade in life, moves from impulse to execution in a breathless blur. “The rich are different from you and me,” observed the novelist F Scott Fitzgerald to his friend Ernest Hemingway. “Yes, they have more money,” quipped Hemingway, in apparent deprecation of Fitzgerald’s suggestion that destructive neurosis is one of the commonest symptoms of wealth.

Only yesterday stormy petrel Zaid was seen publicly to muse on his predicament as an outcast in PKR and as unwanted in the larger Pakatan family.

Barely had his reflections – if the word can at all be used to dignify his ramblings – time to sink than Zaid’s off on his next breathless course: he announces he has quit PKR.

Not that that was unexpected. Zaid Ibrahim is like cargo come loose in the hold of a freighter: it has to be stacked right or jettisoned.  Now that he has himself chosen to eject, PKR ought to compose a felt statement of gratitude for what he has done in drawing up last December’s Common Police Framework for Pakatan Rakyat.

That done, it’s best to maintain a politic and dignified silence.

Time to check the fallout

After the pathological display of exhibitionism that was Zaid’s final weeks in PKR, the party, in reaction, should decline to parody the rhythms of reality TV.  Instead it should move with all deliberate speed to check the fallout from Zaid’s quitting and what it presages for a new party on an increasingly crowded opposition block.

That may entail doing the diametric opposite of what the party’s now presumptive No 2′s inclinations are for PKR Sarawak and Sabah. Those inclinations have neurosis written on them as much as the narcissism of the individual who has elected to depart the party.

  1. I used to respect ZI a lot for the stand he took after the misuse of ISA.
Alas, his recent actions in PKR party election have tarnished his reputation greatly.
The only honorable action he must take now is to quit PKR immediately.

  2. Thought this guy by the name of Zaid will stand united and fight for Change befitting the slogan and battle cry of the opposition.
Selected to represent PAKATAN in Hulu Selangor and many grass roots supporters and “outsiders” work day and nite and take away whatever in their pocket and some traveled back to KL just before Subuh prayer, nasib baik dia kalah or else what will be this arrogant and selfish individual? GOD is great for him losing the buy election.
He can go for all we care-good luck.

  3. He looks in remarkably good condition and should live well into his 90s or more! I thought he was in his late 40s! It must be the idealism that keeps him young, though that wealth/neurosis thing might carry some weight! And no thanks to ‘Elegant Silences’, those are a democracy killer, I appreciate the amount of fracas Zaid is making. If nobody address the issues as Zaid currently can, Malaysia’s political culture is finished!

  4. Eagle ,

U can’t expect Zaid with his ability , calibre, acumen and experience to take instructions from Azmin nor allow Azmin to take credit for his ideas , thoughts, efforts and his abilities . This happens in the civil service , where the non malays do the thinking and the work but the malays get the credit and the promotions and the multiple increments . CHECK WITH YOUR COMMONSENSE AND SEE IF THIS IS RIGHT ? DON’T BOTHER ASKING MAHATHIR TO CHECK WITH HIS COMMONSENSE . HE DOES NOT HAVE ANY ! SAME WITH THOSE IN UTUSAN MELAYU.

Azmin is Anwar’s frontman or proxy – and it looks like Azmin is there not to grow the foundations of PKR or Pakatan – but is there to only carry out Anwar’s biddings as a loyalist would do. THIS MEANS IT IS ANWAR WHO IS IMPORTANT NOT PKR NOR PAKATAN NOR MALAYSIA AND MALAYSIANS.

So Zaid is right and in my mind is vindicated . T Netto can say what he wants , but he can’t be right all the time .

  5. Zaid is only in his late 50s not “on the threshold of his seventh decade in life” as reported. Netto tembak pun tak kena. This distinction is ours (Din, Bean and yours truly) to savour…

  6. “Wealthy lawyer Zaid, on the threshold of his seventh decade in life, moves from impulse to execution in a breathless blur.” Netto

As it turns out, it is the writer who is blur.

  7. sunsine,
With his ability, calibre and acumen if he has any: no one with the same exposure will take orders from Azmin and I don’t expect him to do that.
For being pretender and hypocrite at the starting point just for the sake of power is no no.
As it turns out, better forget him!

  8. ya, we dont need this guy that has no principle to take interview
    with Utusan .
Musam – jangan lebih lebih – orang cam in nak ambil masuk PAS??
u naik pakatan menang ker ?

  9. At a recent seminar-forum organize by PSM held at KL Chinese Assembly Hall, Zaid who was speaking after PSM’s Dr Jeyakumar, mentioned that he had no inclination to any ideology, but is just a ‘pragmatic’ person. Zaid is right! Pragmatic people like Zaid should not join any organization except one led by himself. No human organization can be perfect.

But when you join any particular organization, you must observe the ‘organizational culture’. Associations, Corporations and Political Parties must have a Corporate Culture to help bind the people together. Zaid, definitely had a certain ‘organizational culture’ which helped him build the largest law firm in Malaysia, and it has been able to function even after Zaid officially resigned as a Director.

In Religious organizations the corporate culture is driven by theology. In NGOs it is driven by their stated vision and mission, principles, aims and objectives. In Commercial organizations is called Corporate Culture, and in Politics its called Ideology.

Yes, I agree that since he did not subscribe to the neo-liberal capitalistic UMNO/BN ideology, he definitely will and did not last long the moment he decided to practice his pragmatism. This, only when he felt it could benefit him publicly.

Even when he lost his MP seat after 2008, Pak Lah was generous enough to invite Zaid to be part of the government with his talent/gifts in the law fraternity. Party politics demands that you toe party lines. It stinks, but in a democracy where the votes of the majority determines your position as a people’s rep, that’s the way it is.
Pakatan political parties, in the desire to claim Zaid as their price catch, went all out try to recruit Zaid for their political agendas. I believe Zaid did not join PKR because he subscribe to their ideology, PKR 17 Core Principles, MEA and the policies determined by the Poltical Bureau. Zaid, being a ‘pragmatic’ join PKR as it suited his agenda, i.e. a political platform to promote Zaid.

If Zaid is really sincere about building a better Malaysia for all, he should use his own platform-ZAID & CO. and fight for the rights of all those who have been marginalised, brutalised and cheated by the BN/UMNO government. Zaid, even the Lone Ranger had Tonto as a loyal friend. Lone ranger had his ideology too, and his risk his life to help the down-trodden and marginalised.

You helped yourself to all the NEP had to offer your law firm and you even bit the hand that fed you. Pragmatic! Bull shit! EGOISTIC EGOISTIC EGOISTIC is more like it.

You must be feeling very high now, with all the publicity showered on you. But wait for a while, after all this settles down (and I know you will not let it settle down fast, as it benefits you), but when it does settle down-TRUTH WILL PREVAIL. Will the Rakyat & Nation Benefit from your egoistic non-stop outbursts with everyone, anyone or any organization that does not agree to work according to your terms.

What will be so sad, is that, you have made PR weaker to battle BN. You will never have the capacity to build any successful organization to bring political change, as you do not subscribe to any ideology. And in politics, it must begin with the ideology relevant to the times and for the great common good. That’s what wins elections and establishes democracy. I rest my case, learned counsel.

  10. Zaid is a man. A man’s gotta to do , what a man’s gotta do. The only politician with balls between his two legs. All UMNO politicians are not manly enough to to even walking in front of Mah Chot. I know that Tok Cik and Mongkut rather selling kobe beef than be a politician but taking order from fat mama.

Zaid is right to say “you can have your circus team, Anwar, but I am not one of you clown.”

Meanwhile I would continue to play this crystal gayle love song while waiting for the price of kobe beef to drop with the depreciation of the yen.

Here for you Tok Cik while Mongkut is going to pull his banket alone.

  11. He will fade away with all his Agendas evaporated as hot air. He over estimated his ability and influence. He has ideas but poor judgment. Zaid will be a little grey dot in Malaysia political history that failed to make its prominence. He kills it prematurely.

  12. Bro. Aloy “must have a Corporate Culture to help bind the people together”.

But what if we have a culture to fool everybody together, somewhere. And Zaid doesn’t look like the last fool.

  13. I am glad that Zaid is leaving PKR; PKR has very little credibility left and with Azmin as number 2 . . .wow, who would want to touch this party? As far back as a year ago friends have already told Zaid to form his own party because PKR can never champion those issues which are needed to move the country forward; PKR is all about Anwar with Azmin as chief operative, period. When you have an unelected de facto head operating behind the sarong of his pretty wife, then you have a head who just do what he damn wants to do – to hell with issues. If there are wrinkles, all he has to do is apply his charm and sweep the problem under the carpet. To my mind PKR can only regain its public credibility when people like Nurul Izzah takes over the party; but with the Azmin, Saifuddin mafia in power, that will take a long time indeed.
So Zaid, dont pussy foot with PKR much longer. Leave the party with your head held high and quickly mobilise a new party. There are a whole lot of Malaysians who now looks upon you as their ONLY respectable savior.
Neto, say what you want, but you should mix more with the new breed of Malaysians who have only recently gained political consciousness. To this large group there are only two names they respect – Zaid and Nurul Izzah.

  14. When he was sack from UMNO, he is considered a hero for sticking up to his principles. Now PR consider him a villain for the same reason. It seems that PR is no different when it comes to this type of thing. I see the comments here are about the same when UMNO wants him out. Therefore, PR and its supporters are all 2 x 5…

  15. Cakap lebih, buat takda – itu Zaid.

  16. ” Zaid is right to say ‘ you can have your circus team Anwar, but i am not one of your clown “. – Tean.

Tean , there is so many clowns these days in the country . Most of them sit or work in government departments at federal and state levels and others in federal or state government companies like PKNS and Malaysian Airlines.

Imagine , this morning i read in the Malaysian Insider that a Selangor State Government company paid rm 520,000 for our lameduck astronaut’s wedding dinner. Can you believe that ? And this lame duck astronaut went ahead with it , which makes him nothing more then a public scum.

I wonder which government agency is sponsoring his honeymoon !!!

And these Mr Tean , are the clowns – the leaders like Mahathir , Khir Toyol , Abdullah Badawi , etc., and our lame duck astronaut whose example will allow these kind of clowns to continue to breed and grow with contempt for the Malays in the kampongs whom they profess to be working hard for . All including the astronaut are nothing more then scum.

And i am sure Datuk Khalid’s state government will be blamed for this dirty trick played by UMNO/BN appartchiks.

And not only this Mr Tean, it seems even MCA is learning from UMNO’s example. Recently , it was reported that MCA has bought over the STAR newspapers. I guess you already know what is going to happen to the shareholders money vis a vis the shares and the financial reserves built up over the years by the management team.

Kau sudah tanya papa kau atau belum mendapat keizinan membuat tuduhan tersebut?

    Anak melayu bodoh!!

  18. Tok Cik n Bean…

Yes, he is “a late 50s guy on the THRESHOLD of his seventh decade.” The key word is THRESHOLD..

What is wrong about that? Are both of you so SENSITIVE on age issue?

It’s like 2010, to some it is a 20th Century era but to others it already a 21st Century era.

  19. Terence Netto says it succinctly what I have been saying on this blog recently about Anwar’s leadership in PKR.

The Zaid crisis is about Anwar’s role in PKR, a Leader of the Opposition who does not want to be President of PKR but having a direct hand at the direction of the party as defacto leader. The focus should be on Anwar’s leadership.

The Zaid fallout is a consequence of poor leadership on the part of Anwar. As I said, Zaid is a known quantity and his whims and fancies are in the public domain. To allow this crisis to blow out into the face of PKR is scandalous.

Clickhere to read, Netto’s article “Anwar’s a good rhetorician but poor governor” in Malaysiakini

“…PKR supremo Anwar Ibrahim, in just over two-and-a-half years after leading Pakatan Rakyat to a signal watershed in Malaysian political history, has revealed that he is better at the poetry of campaigning than he is at the prose of governing.

Obviously, Anwar likes to think that when he gets to the top of the greasy pole, he would be better at the prose than he is with the poetry.

The manner in which he attracted Zaid Ibrahim to join PKR in June last year and the way he tackled the competitive spite Zaid’s presence provoked among his cohort revealed his strengths as a crusader for reform and his weaknesses as governor.

However, Zaid is a febrile character who would cause problems anywhere he goes. So Anwar’s initial success at co-opting Zaid and subsequent failure at keeping him must be placed against the perspective that a wealthy parvenu would always be difficult to manage.

Say what you like about Anwar Ibrahim, contrary to Umno’s propaganda, he is averse to any move that shortchanges the Malay or Muslim cause.

Jeffrey is leery of Anwar’s word, for good reason. In the run-up to the recent Batu Sapi by-election, Anwar assured Sabah PKR that they enjoyed full autonomy on candidate selection. Anwar then went on to name Ansari Abdullah, an inveterate foe of Jeffrey’s who was not on the shortlist of candidates a committee headed by Jeffrey had compiled.

…Anwar showed that he’s maladroit at managing the factions in PKR.

The very public Zaid-Azmin feuding of recent weeks has damaged PKR in the eyes of a watching public keen to know if the PKR-led Pakatan Rakyat coalition is actually going to hold together once endorsed at the next general election. ….

  20. When you want to LEAD, you must also MANAGE, not just mouthing feel-good rhetorics on the stump. Managing also include anticipating evolving problems and nipping them in the bud. You don’t run a political party like running a fire brigade team. Or trying to rein in the horse after it has bolted out of the gate.

  21. ‘Malays in the kampongs whom they profess to be working hard for” Salmiah.

    Yes,
Mugabe also sing the same song for his people from his palaces.
Recently we know that despite his people starving and homeless his wife was jetting and bonking around the world.

I hope she will host another first lady summit on bonking soon. Tok Cik would be invited as special guest. His specialty, Bonking in the Boot.

  22. The problem with the PKR chaps when Zaid started to stir things up internally is that they are too comfortable with themselves and their position. When Zaid kicked some dust within the party to move the party forward in preparation for the next GE ( as what he said he wanted to do when he first joined PKR), these chaps with power and influence with the compliments of Anwar began to feel threatened.

What do they do? Instead of engaging Zaid fully on the issues raised by Zaid, they started to do the UMNO-thing: sniping, back-chatting on the man and began whisper campaigns reminiscent of UMNO. Then they set the part to demonise the man, not in public but through irritating side remarks.

They get into Anwar’s ears. Anwar, being a PART TIME leader, between trying to woo the kafirs in the west about Islam ( and lately in Sydney) and fitting his lttle time for PKR, naturally listen to his long time supporters since the reformasi days.

Zaid wants to move fast to position PR and PKR given Najib is itching to call a GE to legitimise his prime ministership, but those chaps in PKR felt their own personal ambitions thwarted.

The damage is done when Anwar refused to sit down and put Pakatan’s interest and the PKR’s interest above the interests of his small band of supporters of the reformasi days.

Zaid, as the public already knows, is impatient and impulsive ( he already showed that when he walked out of UMNO and his cabinet position), had it more than enough… threw in the towel. Basically he is saying, if these guys in PKR want to flush their heads in the toilet, they can go and do it themselves.

  23. All said and done, I really think he will do a better job than Anwar. I hope he is successful in forming another opp party. We are so desperate that we will accept the crumbs that drop from the table.
    God’s blessing on him

  24. Zaid should not have joined PKR in the 1st place. he should have taken his time in deciding. He should have also thought of forming his own party. He should know that he needs time before he is truly accepted and also to prove his worth. For all the banging that Azmin gets, we forget that he has been in PKR through thick and thin. I believe that he has gathered greater support from the grassroots in PKR than Zaid.

Zaid does what Zaid does best challenge and argue. Indeed he is a lawyer and that’s what they do. I think maybe for his political future, he should take up crash course in marketing and mass comm to help in his PR or else whoever he joins will be taken to the task and the relationship will be short.

  25. “Zaid should not have joined PKR in the 1st place. he should have taken his time in deciding. “- The Simple Man

Too late. In Zaid’s world, the clock face is not 1 to 12. Its 1- 6.

If Zaid takes a PR course, he will lose his effectiveness. He is best at what he is doing now. The problem is others cannot adjust. His sincerity to do what is best for the nation and the people cannot be doubted. And that becomes other people’s problem, not his.

  26. Din,
I love Yes Minister & Yes Prime Minister series. I have watched them over & over again & felt that it reflects what has happened in politics & government today. Perhaps, that was the reason why I am kinda desliked toward top echolen civil servants. You know the DGs, State Secretaries, Perm Sec as well as the Chief Secretary. Every outgoing PM in UK, be it Harold Wilson & Clement Atlee, has been asked this question?

Who is really running the country? I mean formulating policies. Civil Servant or Political electees. Well, I am very happy that the forummers come to an agreement that we should create too many “forces”.

    Din,
I come to believe that politicians are elected by the people to check on top civil servants. Unless we can reform the civil servant & making them accountable, the same situation would continue.

    Din,
You might say that Mahathir is all mighty back in the days that he’s PM. Is it just Mahathir or some top civil servants? Or both working in cohort. Watch “A real Partnership” in Yes Prime Minister, you know what I mean

    Din,
What happen to Zaid reflected very clearly in Yes Prime Minister series, “MAN OVERBOARD”. Watch the whole episode. People say that Azmin or even Anwar engineer the exit of Zaid. Or somebody else? APCO for instance……They might have watched the whole series by ANTHONY LAY & JOHNATHAN LYNN…..Hahahaha…..

    Ah Bean,
You must watched them. I love the part when Jim Hacker Told off his daughter on changing the government…..

Stand for Parliament, Get yourself appointment as Minister & Repeal the Act. By then the badgers would have been dead

    Din,
In the series of “Man Overboard”, Dudley, Environment Secretary has come up with brilliant to move all military establishment up north to create massive employment & huge profits by selling the properties in the south. The top echolen civil servants & generals despised because they would be moved away from Harrods & Wimbledon. I don’t really fancy Harrods but I got the opportunity to tried on 1000 pounds suit there….Hehehe
The plot by the civil servants led by Sir Humphery Appleby is to get rid of Dudley. Dudley is gone & so was the plan. You can fill the names in PKR with Yes Prime Minister characters….Though I have yet to identify the Humphery character in PKR. It definitely
    not Azmin

    Jim Hacker – Anwar Ibrahim
    Chief Whip – Saifuddin Nasution
Principal Private Secretary – Azmin Ali
Edmund Dudley, Employment Secretary – Zaid Ibrahim
Cabinet Secretary – ?????? (APCO undercover)

Too bad for Zaid Ibrahim. If he has watched Yes Prime Minister series & fully understood them, he would not ended up on this way. Perhaps, he might not even need his advisors. Or his so called advisors might have plotted Zaid’s exit.

    Din,
One of the series that I love is Yes Minister, Big Brother. How Jim Hacker outmanouevre Humphery in the TV interview. Come to think of it. Why Anwar is still the right person for the PM designate job? Rather than PAS folks including Husam Musa.
One need to tackle & defeat the top civil servants…..Devilish, scheming bunch of people. Inexperience fellas would be completely house trained by these top civil servants.
I also know why Anwar prefer Azmin. Bernard Wooley was the Principle Private Secretary to Jim Hacker.

    Guys,
We need strong leadership to handle the Chief Secretary, DGs & Perm Secs in the Civil Service. They are “The Opposition in Residence”……Hahahaha

  27. Look at Zaid joining PKR for comfort and later was out of the window naked.

  28. “We need strong leadership to handle the Chief Secretary, DGs & Perm Secs in the Civil Service.”- looes74

What’s the problem? These guys are “sackable”. Change the govt and put a PM who has balls. Govt Orders are prepared by Govt.

Sack those bastards in the civil service who are paid by taxpayers but follow orders only from a political party against the interest of the taxpayers.

Start with the judiciary… send them into very early retirement.

Not like politicians who have to be voted out.

  29. “Macam orang putih cakap speak the same language, mah”- Asril sani

    Anak melayu yang bodoh!!!

  30. looes74

Don’t watch too much TV-movies and reading hyped up fee-good stories about PAP and Lee Kuan Yew eg “The Men in White”.

Malaysia’s problems need to be solved with feet on the muddy ground and doing the hard yards in rural heartland.

Cafe latte chatter boxes in the cities don’t win govt… they are inconsequential at the ballot box.

  31. The bank robbers can now concentrate on robbing the bank. Zaid was supposed to be the getaway driver. Now that he has got away with the car, getting away with the robbery is that much easier.

As for me, I prefer to think of Nikita and the prospect of a cold winter ahead.

  32. Tean…Mrs Mugabe caught bonking…must have taken a leaf from Rosmah ( RPK says Deepak is her TOYBOY !!). So both can host first lady BONKING SUMMIT. Should Zaid joins PAS, ask him to donate his vintage wine collection to charity bazzar and donate proceeds to old folks home !!

  33. ” Start with the judiciary … send them into very early retirement “. – Frank

Nah .. transfer these Muslim first judges as Imams of mosques and surau’s. See if these pretenders make the cut as Imams and good muslims .

  34. ” And these Mr Tean are the clowns – leaders like Mahathir, Khir Toyol , Abdullah Badawi etc., .. – Salmiah

I guess if you inbreed a Toyol with a Maha Racist , you may deserve a crooked astronaut as an offspring …. :) .

  35. ” … host a first lady summit on bonking soon. Tok Cik will be invited as special guest . His speciality , Bonking in the boot “. – Tean

At least he bonks as a Malaysian .

  36. Our own AG can provide legal advice to the first lady bonking summit and Italian PM Berloscuni can be patron !!

  37. It’s raining cats abd dogs outside and flooding soon, i might as well drop in a line or two. Sigh..

With all this barking, howling, cooing and whatnot – nothing’s gonna change. The bloggers (what are ‘forummers?) have taken up their respective positions whether lying down like me or jumping like a cat on a hot tin to no avail. What has been done cannot be undoone. Despite all the brickbats and coprolites thrown at either Zaid or PKR – i hope that the former goes placidly into the night with whatever ‘honour’he has left, while the latter begin the process of reconciliation amongst themselves. It is not a zero sum game – the only zero belongs to the Establishment – in fact, it’s negative.

Unafflicted and unaffected people like me, will still decide to kick out Be-End. There is no anxiety of what i shall do. For those who detest either side perhaps, it is better, to sit on the fence and play with your own shit.

  38. “What do they do? Then they set the part to demonise the man, not in public but through irritating side remarks.” Frank

And this is the mindset that cannot be hidden in any Zegna suit or Mercedes Benz however hard they try. They think they are at par and successful becasue the adorn themselves with these things. They have not even begun to understand what is engaging, communication. maturity, facing facts, agreeing to disagree with one another. This is what is the cause of the downfall of all whether Umno or PKR the mindset that destroys.Until this becomes mature, we have nothing to look forward to . No change.

  39. “Nasib baik hang bukan Papa saya. Saya dah tentu minta cerai dan lari dari rumah.” Asril sani aka Bumi-Boy

    Anak melayu yang bodoh!!

  40. Frank,
Ask Din. That political satire situation comedy (sitcom) is simply superb. It explains exactly the political situations in any country including Unietd Kingdom. Even Margarat Thatcher loves the show & acted on it. Every single government including Singapore is using this showpiece (Yes Minister/Yes Prime Minister) as a yardstick. I seriously suggest you to watch all of them. You can ask RPK too to see if these shows are true gem.
I have to agree that we need to battle it out in the rural area. Since you are so good, tell us your plan rather than just throwing money around.
I quote “Cafe latte chatter boxes in the cities don’t win govt… they are inconsequential at the ballot box.”

    Ah Frank,
You are talking about people like Harris Ibrahim or Anil Netto….hahahaha…..Frank ah….Give us a taste of those “babstards” civil servant

    Frank,
Ask for your early commen……It’s not so simple. Don’t you think why Zaid resigned…..Why people like Anwar still very important leading Pakatan Rakyat? I also gather Jeff Ooi loves the sitcom too
By the way, once you watch the show, tell me how you are going to tackle “Sir Humphery Appleby”…..You can ask Din….He’s from the Civil Service

  41. Frank,
This is a classic example of how our grabber grabber JJ getting away with grabbing lady’s bontot.

Oh by the way, perhaps, Khir Toyo & his wife can use some this as an example of how to wriggle out of his Disney trip

    Another classic clip

  42. looes74,

I have the complete DVD set of both Yes Minister series and Yes Prime Minister series . And seen them more than three times. I have the copy of The Men in White and finished reading it too a few months ago.

    To be honest, nothing new.

For your info, Haris Ibrahim goes to the field and does have the feel of the pulse in the voters who matter.

Anil Netto, he is a journalist and columnist. He provides intelligent perspectives for others to chew.

Cafe latte chatter boxes are those who have opinions without learning the facts on the ground and they spend time on FB and Twitter chatting from other end of their alimentary canals. And they don’t register to vote and even if they do, they don’t vote because to them, it is such a big hassle. And when the wrong people get elected, they whinge and whine like sex deprived maniacs.

  43. looes74

When you rely on TV movies and hyped up self-praised Singaporean docu-drama books written by PAP suppoerters to inspire your realities, you might be our modern-day Miguel de Cervantes’ s hero, the man from La Mancha, the great Don… Don Looes74 aka Don Quixote.

  44. Zaid a politician ?. Best part of his years buid up the largest law firm in Malaysia. Politics just to reinforce his law practise. Lawyers are “smart“ and are not idealistic , as made out of Zaid. His Agenda -don`t exactly get. Maybe best for him to get back where he really belongs.
