UMNO-BN and Pakatan Rakyat begin the battle for Hulu Selangor

The Scramble for Malay Votes in Hulu Selangor
By Adib Zalkapli
The first day ( April 17 ) of the official Hulu Selangor campaign saw the main contenders, Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat, exchange allegations of Jewish links against each other in the race for the majority Malay vote.
Malays form more than half of the 64,500 voters who will have to pick between BN, PR and two independents contesting the April 25 by-election, the 10th since Election 2008.
A BN campaigner from Johor, Rosdi Amir slammed Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, claiming it was ironic that the opposition leader himself was linking the ruling BN government with Israel for hiring communication consultant, APCO Worldwide.
“His media adviser is an Pakistani-American, who is funded by the Jews,” Rosdi bluntly told his audience in Kampung Pasir Kerling without giving any names, while campaigning for P. Kamalanathan.
Kamalanathan is facing PKR’s Datuk Zaid Ibrahim and independents Johan Md Diah and V.S. Chandran for the seat left vacant by the death of PKR MP Datuk Dr Zainal Abidin Ahmad, who won by a narrow 198 votes in Election 2008.
Speaking in the constituency located more that 7,000 kilometres from Tel Aviv, Rosdi alleged that Anwar’s tenure as visiting professor at an American university was funded by Jewish groups.
“[More] proof that he is funded by the Jews was when he was appointed as lecturer John Hopkins University with the financial assistance from the Jews,” he added.
He claimed that Anwar would end up as a ‘Jewish puppet’, should he takes over the government. “They like to manipulate weak leaders from various countries,” Rosdi said. Citing more Jewish links for PR, he accused DAP of being under Jewish control as it is a member of the Socialist International.
Rosdi described the International Jewish Labour Bund, World Labour Zionist Movement, Israeli Labour Party and New Movement-Meretz, all members of the Socialist International as the backbone of the organisation.
“Do we want them or their friends to become our leaders,” said Rosdi, a practicing lawyer.“I’m only presenting facts here,” he told the all-Malay crowd while showing his prepared notes.
Some 300 metres away at a PKR-organised rally, Anwar used Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s criticism of APCO to support his argument against what he called a company with strong links to the Israeli military.
“Strangely today, Dr Mahathir too disagrees with APCO but UMNO Youth leaders are trying very hard to defend it,” Anwar told the Malay-majority crowd.
Dr Mahathir has been waging a campaign against Israel for its occupation of Palestinian territories and has disapproved the use of APCO by the Najib administration for public relations work.
PKR Youth chief Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin also repeated accusations that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak’s government is close to the Israelis.
“For the first time in the history of our country the government hires Jews, Zionists as consultants,” said Shamsul before hundreds of party loyalists.
“They accused Anwar of being a Jewish agent but they hired a Jewish company, when we showed the contract in Parliament, they chose to be silent,” he told the crowd. The government’s alleged link with the Israelis was first raised by Anwar in Parliament last month when he said Najib’s 1 Malaysia was a carbon copy of Ehud Barak’s One Israel, claiming APCO was behind both campaigns.
But APCO has denied the allegations and Anwar has been referred to the powerful rights and privileges committee in
parliament for making the accusations. “Let us save our country from leaders who are conspiring with Zionists,” said Shamsul.
BN is already facing the risk of losing Malay votes after Najib announced that PETRONAS has stopped supplying gasoline to Iran ahead of further global sanctions.
The Prime Minister, however, denied the reports saying that the transaction was a one-off sale and there has been no more request.
Malay votes are likely to go to UMNO-BN. The real fight is over the Indian votes. The Chinese votes unless delivered en bloc will not be enough to give Pakatan the margin it needs to win. The attempt to split the votes by both camps is unlikely to have any significant impact and assuming if it does their effect would cancel each other out.
My 2-cents.

Almost in everything to be dealt with the US whether education, trade or political favour matters, the sleigh hand of the American Jews or the Jewish lobby there is involved directly or indirectly. The Arabs know that and so does the Malaysian Government/UMNO leaders and Anwar and company. To pretend otherwise is to take the rakyat for fools. Those in glass houses should not throw stones. It was UMNO that started it all by alleging that Anwar is a puppet of the Jews. When he hit you back with disclosure of you engaging Israeli intelligence officers infested APCO to handle your international PR works and PDRM’s intelligence storage infrastructure, the UMNO leaders are exposed as a bunch of hypocrites who are ever willing to deal with the so-called devil if it suits them.
So on the issue of selling out to the Jews, the BN and UMNO are more culpable than Anwar. Therefore the score is PR 1 and UMNO/BN 0

“DPM Muhy: Kamalanathan’s name reflects 1 M’sia ….Kamal is a Malay name…sounds like Chinese name Tan and Nathan is Indian name ….meaning leader…Kamal also means ‘perfect’ in Arab and ‘Nathan’….I’m not so sure….on a more serious note….” Star Sunday 18/04/10.
Actually, Kamal from ancient (at least 4,000 years) Sanskrit/Tamil means ‘lotus eyed’ and ‘Nathan’ a reference to the Hindu god, Vishnu. The Hindu god Lord Krishna, an avatar of Lord Vishnu, is often referred to as Kamalakrishnan!!
‘Nathan’ could also mean ‘leader’ in Sanskrit/Tamil. Kamala on its own is a fairly common name among Indian ladies! And don’t forget Kamal, a M’sian Indian from Brickfields in KL is also one of Malaysia’s most successful and internationally renown pop singer star (Elephant Song) who lives in Oz.
Also, Nathan has an old (pre-Christian) Jewish origin meaning ‘giver’ or ‘gift from God!’ Many westerners too have this name.
I think DPM Muhy must be careful, even in jest, in linking names with Muslim one’s as he could soon have PERKOSONG and the syariah/fatwa council on his back for comparing Hindu/Indian/Jewish names with that of one of the 99 names of Prophet Mohammed, i.e. Kaamil in Arabic!!
Unless of course, as Frank suggested here, he is Kamal bin Nathan!! Lol!

And what makes you think that only Jews are Zionists and Neo-cons ?
It is like make the claim that only Americans are capitalists, Chinese and Russians are communists or Arabs are Muslims !
ocho-onda - April 18, 2010 at 4:01 pm
I feel sorry for the Jews.
They already have their plate full in the Middle East, with the Palestinians and the rest of the Arab world. And out of the far east, they got stuck with another bunch of Muslims complaining they are interfering with their lives.
Why is God (Allah/Jehovah) so naughty to create so much problem for His Chosen People. n the early first millenium it was the Christians and their crusade. Early last century was Hitler and now the Muslims turn.
I hear prayers in synagogues round the world,

This what Kamal bin Nathan, the UMNO-candidate from MIC said when he was nominated as a candidate:
I will deliver it to Prime Minister Najib Razak as gift for his first year in office.
He is not trying to win for the Hulu Selangor constituency, not for MIC, not for the betterment of Indians when he is in Parliament… He wants to win the seat FOR NAJIB!!!!!!
You don’t get a more true-blue asslicker than this UMNO candidate from MIC, Kamal bin Nathan.
If YOU ARE INDIAN, would you ask your Indian colleagues, friends and relatives to vote for this UMNO candidate with Indian name
Frank - April 18, 2010 at 7:13 pm
continue….
If YOU are an Indian voter in Hulu Selangor, are you voting Kamal Nathan as a prize for Najib, or you are voting someone who will look after your interest.
If YOU are a Chinese, would you ask your friends, relatives and colleagues in Hulu Selangor to vote an UMNO candidate who says Perkasa, despite Ibrahim Ali’s condemnation of the Chinese living in Malaysia in so many of his media statements, is NOT anti Chinese.
If YOU are a Chinese voter in Hulu Selangor should you give your vote to this Indian in disguise, Kamal bin Nathan, that he will look after YOUR interest!!!
If you are Malay voter, who is a real Malay, Zaid bin Ibrahim or Kamal bin Nathan @ P.Kamalanathan?
Frank - April 18, 2010 at 7:19 pm
This is an interesting article to read:
Click here “Why MIC Hulu S’gor candidate defends Perkasa”
Excerpts:
Is Kamal bin Nathan @P. Kamalanathan, the UMNO candidate for Hulu Selangor, is an Indian? Will he be looking after the voters’ interest especially Indians’ interest or looking after UMNO and Najib’s interest?
If you are Indian voter, why should YOU vote an MIC member looking after UMNO/Najib and Malay interests???
Frank - April 18, 2010 at 7:35 pm
And now the mud slinging starts . It starts with UMNO’s Muyuddin slinging about ZAID’s consumption of alcohol . This is what Malay first UMNO shitheads are all about – mud slinging and abuse of the process .
Look at the baggage UMNO has – the commission paid to Razak Baginda totalling 540 million dollars , the PKFZ issue of rm 12.5 billion , the Altantuya issue , Najib and Rosmah’s milk shower by the high Hindu priest from Kerala , India , submarines that can’t submerge like MARIA OSAWA does , and the list goes on and on .
And yet these SOBs , still dare to sling mud . MUSTAHIL bukan?
rubiah lubis - April 18, 2010 at 7:40 pm
Kamal bin Nathan should have kept this saying on his table in his MIC office:
Frank - April 18, 2010 at 7:42 pm
Watch for the influx of sewing machines in Hulu Selangor!!!
Frank - April 18, 2010 at 7:49 pm
Sewing machines, Frank? Nope – it seems that washing machines more poupular now. Tumble-dry instead of whacking it like the dhobi used to. Problem is that there’s no electricity in the ladangs and ‘kamlan’ and cohorts are now figuring out how to use ‘cow-dung’ methane-electric generators. Biotech very advanced with these flurs, that’s why their leaders don’t expire.
Menyalak-er - April 18, 2010 at 8:25 pm
All this talk of a Jewish conspiracy is not gonna wash. Not even with the rural voters of this corner of the country, which is in the backyard of an UMNO heavyweight popular with the Indians. The Malays as a race are much more politically astute and sophisticated in their thinking than suggested by some of us when it comes to issues like this one. When it comes to issues like this they are able to separate the grain from the chaff quite easily.

klik - April 18, 2010 at 10:50 pm
la-di-la’s piece of crap.- klik
La-di-la is a prostitute of UMNO with a repulsive and low-life attitude when she called Altantuya , a foreign woman murdered on our shores, a prostitute based on a lie of UMNO. She will bare open to anything UMNO says or do at every opportunity.
What is more sickening is that she has not apologised for her unacceptable behaviour on this blog as demanded by the bloghost.
While other more decent Malaysians sought justice for Altantuya when this UMNO-led Govt especially with support from someone who prostitutes her mind to UMNO, failed to secure justice for the dead woman. Click here to read article SUARAM SEEKS JUSTICE FOR ALTANTUYA AND ACCOUNTABILITY FOR M’SIAN AND FRENCH TAXPAYERS”
Click here article posted on Din’s blog, French Military Deal linked to Murdered Model
Yet all evidence in the public domain available, La-di-la willingly and unashamedly prostituted herself to UMNO’s lie and then posted on this blog that Altantuya is a prostitute.
Frank - April 18, 2010 at 11:14 pm

As far as I am concerned, La-di-la has no moral standing to comment about other people’s moral values, when she herself has embarrassed her own family by slandering the name of a murdered woman, Altantuya based on a lie of UMNO.

Menyalak-er - April 18, 2010 at 11:36 pm
La-di-la
Your kind of prostitution to UMNO debases the integrity of your family and an insult to your parents who I believe would have taught you some core moral values, like not calling another woman, a murdered one to boot, a prostitute, with all the negative connotations, based on a lie.
And you have temerity to come here. as though calling another dead person a prostitute in public based on a lie is OK, without apologising for your uncouth behaviour despite a demand from the bloghost that you should apologise.
It is not business as usual.
Frank - April 19, 2010 at 12:03 am
Frank,
Be nice and give the poor woman some space. We all make mistakes. You have said all there is to be said. Let’s move on.
Mr Bean - April 19, 2010 at 4:47 am
You do understand the disgust felt by those who have to put up with irrational outbursts against the memories of someone since deceased and who is not here to defend herself, do you?
Mr Bean - April 19, 2010 at 9:25 am
You have said all there is to be said. Let’s move on.-Mr. Bean
No, I cannot move on. La-di-la must APOLOGISE on this blog for her repulsive attitude for calling Altantuya a prostitute as demanded by the bloghost. If she thinks she can continue to comment on other people as if you and I should forget what she said, she is mistaken. As a lawyer, you know it is the duty of the law to hound a criminal till justice is done.
I will remind myself and La-di-la she is a prostitute of UMNO, in every sense of the word each time she thinks she can get away insulting other people without apologising for a sickening attitude.
I will not move on as far as she is concerned unless she apologises for her repulsive attitude at the dead woman who could not defend herself and for insulting Altantuya’s family who are still living.
Frank - April 19, 2010 at 9:44 am
Mr Bean,
Yes we all make mistakes and we do have to ADMIT we make mistakes. And if a mistake is disrespectful, we APOLOGISE, don’t we.
La-di-la does NOT admit she made a mistake and after I questioned her calling Altantuya a prostitute, she still defended she was right for saying so.
How can you entertain a situation where you would want to allow such a person to interact with you and discuss issues of public interest, when you have someone in your midsts who is unrepentant for calling a murdered woman a prostitute.
At least when I call her a prostitute of UMNO, she could defend herself, Altantuya, God bless her soul, had no chance to defend the insult from La-di-la.
Since I enjoy participating in this blog, I cannot but to continue to show my utter disgust with La-di-la for her failure to admit she made a grevious mistake in calling Altantuya a prostitute.
It is incumbent on all of us to support the call of the bloghost, that she apologises for her repulsive attitude if she wants to continue to interact with all of us on this blog. That is my point and I will continue to press on that point.
I don’t give a damn if La-di-la is impervious to words. Of course she is, given she herself is “loose with her lips” and “loose with her tongue” (to quote somebody who had said earlier) by calling Altantuya a prostitute bases on a lie of UMNO.

On another thread you proudly said ” if you see me you will divorce your wife” Now which is which? The more I read your comments the more I doubt your sincerity. You’re just teasing the folks here ala Rose Chan.
shrek - April 19, 2010 at 10:11 am
Mr Bean
How could you condone a person who is unrepentant and refused to apologise for an abusive remark on a murdered woman, calling her prostitute, a direct insult to her living family? And to say I should move on, implying it is OK for La-di-la to continue to interact with us as a fraternity of comments on Din’s blog, more so when the bloghost demanded she apologises for her repulsive comments?
Dictators and demogogues continue to terrorise others simply because we encourage others and allow ourselves to “move on” , thus giving the signal that it is OK for them to terrorise others.
Frank - April 19, 2010 at 10:29 am
Frank,
We all know that you cannot be easily intimidated or terrorized.
Once world chess champion Bobby Fisher after his indictment on criminal charges for playing chess in the then Yugoslavia against his own country’s sanction against that state, condemned his own country and praised 9/11 and thought his own country should be wiped out. But those who knew him knew him to be eccentric and his idiosyncrasies were part of his persona.
You? You are letting yourself be distracted, attracting criticism to yourself, for your dogged attitude in pursuing a lost cause if I could call it that. Time to let go, Frank.
I understand how it feels like to be sharing the same room with people you consider low lifes.
Mr Bean - April 19, 2010 at 7:35 pm
Mr Bean
You mean you don’t you don’t mind at all sharing the room and interacting with a low life like La-di-la? I better get out of this room then. And let the bloghost and you enjoy her company.
I don’t.
Frank - April 19, 2010 at 11:30 pm
Mr Bean
I stayed as long as I had and spent my fre time on this blog because I enjoyed very much in having the conversations with all of you, engaging in the serious discussions and interpersed with humour and trivialities.
But if it is a loss cause, then I prefer not to be in the same room with a low-life who refused to apologise yet being entertained in the same room. It is no more fun and a waste of my bandwith.
Frank - April 19, 2010 at 11:36 pm
Mr Bean
Say what you like about RPK as a blogger. He sets the standards and if he or his webmanager thinks you fall below that standard, he shuts you out.
Frank - April 19, 2010 at 11:39 pm
Mr Bean,
I am not sure whether I learnt anything much from that prostitute of UMNO in her postings except to read the one-sided recycled vomit of UMNO’s propaganda machine. It is different if she is a serious discussant on topics we all are engaged in. You end up with silly rebuttals and put-ons.
So, thank you and no thank you for staying in the same room with a prostitute of UMNO. It is distracting for me.
Frank - April 19, 2010 at 11:46 pm
