Don’t miss this opportunity to listen and meet civil society personalities like Haris Ibrahim, Art Harun, Fahmi Resa, Jahaberdeen Mohd Yunoos, Sivin Kit and Jayanath Appudurai, if you have time to spare on January 23, 2010 from 2pm-7pm–Din Merican
Weeks before the December 31 High Court ruling allowing non-Muslims to use the word Allah, rumblings were already growing in Umno that a power tussle at the very top – between Najib and Muhyiddin – may finally be breaking into the open. Two incidents fired the rumours. One was the sudden call by Defence Minister Zahid Hamidi – previously regarded as a Najib loyalist but lately believed to have switched over to Muhyiddin – for Gerakan to surrender the Penang BN chair to Umno. The other was the messy way in which Zahid chose to expose the theft of two jet engines from a military base.
Both incidents embarrassed Najib. The Umno president is really not sitting as pretty as his minders have tried to make it appear. No doubt there have been gushing news reports and ‘independent’ polls that try to portray growing popularity, but the reality is that hard-nosed Malaysians have already had a whiff of the future and they don’t like what they smell.
It has always been anak Melayu, anak Cina and anak India (anak Hindu at one time) living together but separately. Is someone suggesting that we put together the genes from all three into a test tube, find surrogate mothers and produce a new race??
PKR should invite the ordinary rural Malay kampung folks to come and participate in this forum. They are the ones who need to be enlightened, about this new calling to all Malaysians.
The caffe latte urban malays and non malays are already the converted.
Send in a 10 buses (get some rich PR supporter to donate funds) to bring these people in from all over rural areas in the country. I mean the pak ciks, mak ciks, the petani, the penoreh getah and the kedai runcit folks.
They are the ones who should be putting up the flags in the kampungs and yelling at the top of their voices ,”Kita Anak Bangsa Malaysia”.
More importantly, conduct the forum discussion in Bahasa only. After all, all anak bangsa Malaysia should be able to understand and ask questions in Malay.
Prove to Rais Yatim, that PKR supporters especially, can also declare I’ll Change my Mode.”

Anak Malaysia, Bangsa Malaysia, One Malaysia, this Malaysia, that Malaysia. And while we are all busy getting these sorted who will be left to run the country most of whose institutions are in a mess?
I hope this is not a Pakatan initiative because they ought to be doing more vital things.

I object! This is discriminatory.
Don’t you know that there are people among your caffe latte followers who would say “Kemaluan saya sangat besar” – ashamed at their poor control of the language. What about those people??

Mr. Bean
The word “kemaluan” in the Kamus Dewan carries three meanings.
The one meaning which you imply or refer to, and commonly not used in polite conversation because it is believed it is the wrong word to use as a noun for “ashame”.
You are correct that “kemaluan” refers to “bahan alat kelamin, aurat (laki-laki dan perempuan). See Kamus Devan under “MALU”
But there are also two other meanings for “Kemaluan” in the Kamus Dewan:
Kemaluan (1) : perihal malu,sesuatu yang mendatangkan malu (
2) mendapat malu
Thus, “Kemaluan saya sangat besar” could well be translated correctly as ‘ My shame is enormous” or ” I am very much ashame”.
The caffe latter PKR followers are still correct to use that word to mean they are hopelessly ashamed of themselves… and which they should be, given what is happening to PKR of late.
I am the first time being here on this website and immediately I want to say greetings to all men and women.

Yes. For other fashion you’d have to see Tean. With the help of Ms. Maria Ozawa, Tean would be too happy to demonstrate how it is done.
