Missing Jet Engines, what else will go missing?,Malaysians ask

Our Xmas and New Year Gift: Missing Jet Engines

The rot starts from the head. Once bad examples have been set by top leaders, the subordinates take the cue and the rot spreads like cancer. Where is the credibility of what the PM says?’

Missing jet engine: PM promises no cover-up

Karma: No cover-up? The crime was discovered in May 2008 and the report was lodged on Aug 4, 2008 – after three months. Now the public gets to know after a year plus, yet there is no prosecution so far. What are you trying to fool the public for? What took them so long?

Trying to gather more evidence or to destroy them? Hey! It is two times RM50 million now, not one. Why send in only the police? Didn’t you smell something fishy? The MACC should poke its finger in too. Who is powerful enough to steal RM100 million worth of jet engines?

I heard that in order to steal water, you need someone inside to turn off the big pipe before you can connect the smaller ones illegally. Don’t just check on jet engines. There are stories of national car engines being stolen or changed illegally by ‘someone inside’.

Do we think only two jet engines were stolen? In Malaysia, big crimes are only for their ‘discovery value’. Small ones are for MACC to sink their teeth into like a small allocation of RM2,400 to help the poor in some ‘kampung’.

Jbss: Leadership by example. The rot starts from the head. Once bad examples have been set by top leaders, the subordinates take the cue and the rot spreads like cancer. Where is the credibility of what you (the PM) says? Malaysia boleh.

Habib RAK: Under the UMNO-BN ruling guidelines, when you mess up, you get promoted. Just like Najib Abdul Razak from defence minister/deputy prime minister to finance minister/prime minister, the inspector-general of police gets retained, etc.

And guess what? The chief of the air force gets promoted to be the chief of the armed forces. The fact that the jet engines went missing under his watch is overlooked. Now all of them act like they didn’t know about this and are making statements that insult the rakyat.

Brainless: It reminds me of Ali Baba and the 40 thieves, but this one for real. No wonder our beloved country has not progressed. We have thieves, robbers and felons in the highest government offices. My dear fellow Malaysians, please vote using your heads instead of emotion. Vote for change to save our country for our future generations. Who knows, we might all go missing.

Lim Chong Leong: If two tonnes of jet engine can go missing, how many grenades, M16, bullets, etc, have also gone missing? Is this why the West thinks we support Muslim militants? And why has no person been charged? It has been two years and this is a serious crime. It seems that these UMNO goons are protecting each another.

SusahKes: In the movie ‘The Usual Suspects’, the story ends with a statement, ‘The greatest trick the devil played was to make the world believe he doesn’t exist’. I’ll re-phrase that in our Malaysian context: ‘The greatest trick Najib is playing is to make Malaysians believe that he means what he says.’

‘What else will go missing? The country?’

Rocky: Let’s face it, the BN government is there to rip off the money of the taxpayers. And everyone is in the scheme, ‘you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours’. And those supposed to uphold the law like the judiciary, the Attorney-General’s Chambers, the MACC, the police and even the army are all together in this daylight robbery.

In other countries, the law will be there to punish them and the public will demand their resignations. But here, under the guise of the NEP, ‘Ketuanan Melayu’ and by using a ‘divide and rule’ policy, they have been able to blind some of the Malaysians from the truth.

Now you know why they would like to control the Internet and need good spin doctors. Some even say ‘do not ponder the past, let’s move forward’. Well, take that with a big spoon of salt because we must remember the past and punish the guilty. If not, these schemes will continue to go on even if they swear by the Quran.

Wake up Malaysians, time to make a bigger change. If not, we the rakyat will get swindled. We need a honest government who is willing to build this nation instead of one that wants to build only their own personal wealth and also cause racial problems among Malaysians.

Mythots: Looks like more skeletons are coming out of the BN’s closet. I’m wondering why didn’t the Auditor-General’s report indicate this loss in their audit? There’s going be more exposes coming I’m sure. Fifty years of dirt. Let’s see how our government has been behaving.

PureMalaysian: I think Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak’s ‘feng shui’ and luck have not been very good so far ever since he became the PM. Mahathir, reigning for more than two decades, harvested billions of the rakyat’s money and yet nothing happened to him.

But Najib, less than a year of being PM, already has full of conspiracies and problems surrounding him – Altantuya, PI Bala, RPK, missing jet engines, etc. All haunting him.

  1. It’s just like the old Russian communist regime. With the fall of the communism, everything in the country was stripped bare by the ruling elites making many millionaires in the process. Are we coming to that state because the BN thieves believe that their regime is coming to an end? And where the fcuk are the MACC, the Auditor General, the Attorney General and the Police? Too involved in getting a piece of the action too? If we don’t kick the BN out by the next election, there won’t be much left for the rakyat

  2. The government held back the news and released it after the last Parliamentary session ended. Najib’s credibility is eroding fast. He is showing a lack of leadership. At the end of the day, like in the recent case of PKFZ only small fries are caught and brought before the court.

UMNO-BN politicians and their cronies are immune from prosecution. There is no justice, then when some people are deemed to be above the Law. Then there is no Rule of Law. Lord Denning once said, “…you can see how dangerous this immunity (from prosecution) might be if the central government came to be controlled by people with totalitarian ideas.” (quoted from his book, The Changing Law, 1953).

The maxim that “The King could do no wrong” is outmoded and when applied to the government is dangerous. That is my personal and perhaps simplistic view. New Yorker Bean, can we have the benefit of your views on this issue of immunity from prosecution?–Din Merican

  3. it would help the country a lot if mahathir , his warlords, samy velu, tun ling, and najib and his cabinet just disappeared to iran in the next jet engine. let me try …

presto … hmmm .. did not work . still here lah.

    try again.

abracadabra .. hmmm .. still here lah .

    give up lah.

  4. God is not going to bless this country with prosperity and aabundance when the people are willing to choose immoral and corrupt government leaders with blood on their hands.
Just look – The PM, the Cabinet, Police, Army, MACC. EC, AG chambers and Judiciary are all filled by scums.

Is God going to bless us for accepting these crooks????

  5. It has way past the time for the citizens to take action. It is time for us to start expanding our network of friends and relative who live outside Malaysia. Enlist their help in finding the assets the Be End goons (including M) are hiding abroad.

A friend of mine once drove me, for 3 days, across some European countryside and showed me the castles (you read it right, CASTLE) owned by Malaysians.

As he rattle off the names of those hyper-rich Malaysians, my heart sunk deeper and deeper.

    Our taxmoney !

    Our nation’s wealth !

All stolen and end up here !! As those castles represent only the tip of the iceberg, I like to call upon you, and all others’ help, to expand the search for hidden assets abroad. I have heard of ranches in South America, New Zealand and Australia.

    I have heard of stories.

    All yet to be confirmed.

    So, would you help?

It is difficult because most of these assets are held by trusted nominees. This standard way to protect detection when a search is done. The Law is such, unless we change it. –Din Merican

  6. “Brig Gen + some other low ranking officers arrested, got thrown out of their jobs.” That is the sum of this fiasco, izzit? The buck’s going to stop here? No! The Min. of ‘Defenceless’ then and now, must take full responsibility and resign with immediate effect. No morals, no shame, no responsibility!! We are talking about weaponry here, not some ‘white elephants’ or defective edifices.

It’s not only the greed, incompetence, corruption and subsequent coverup. It’s the huge embarrassment within the international community. We are a country which is deemed as an active arms supplier to pariah nations, if not to terrorist groups. After the Scomi debacle, the powers-that-are, still don’t seem to realize that our image on the international stage is like that of a village idiot.

Still talking about FDI’s? Can’t even keep our anarchic weapons on a ‘safe’ and ‘storage’ mode! It is crimes like these that embolden smalltime ‘hitmen’… Absolute rubbish of a gomen.

  7. Dear Din Merican,

I am aware that this Blog belongs to you and you have the right to delete comments as you wish. However, I am inclined to believe that you should only delete those comments that are offensive with bad language. Otherwise you will only attract like-minded people. Good ideas come through the clash of thought. Thank you for your attention.

Thumb Logic, thanks for your understanding. We can disagree agreeably. I want my blog to be a forum for debate on issues in an intelligent and rational way. This is because what we say on this blog tell non-Malaysian readers a lot about us as a people.

Do you know that I take special effort to correct typos, etc. But I will continue to block people like Ilham who used foul language and even insulted my wife. The more I ignore him, the more desperate and irritated he gets. Do I care? Zilt. I know his IP Nr. —Din Merican

  8. Every other day something will surface that will further erode the rakyat’s trust for the ruling party. Wonder what else will go missing in the days ahead? Why can’t Najib & Co (and Rosmah) go AWOL and MIA too. That saves us plenty of heartaches and sleepless nights. Problem is, they refuse to go as the tidings are simply too good to ignore.

  9. “What else will go missing?……..”

    Silly question.

They tried to make the Mongolian woman missing. Officially Altantuya did NOT come to Malaysia according to IMMIGRATION RECORDS. According to Najib’s Govt, the person who was c-4ed in the forest is a forged Altantuya. If you keep on linking Najib to Antantuya’s murder he will prove in UMNO-court under that UMNO lackey Chief Justice Zaki Azmi that Altantuya never came to Malaysia with evidence from the DG of Immigration. Malaysians are liars, unpatriotic and the Malay Muslims are unIslamic for charging Baginda Razak for the murder of a non-existent Mongolian woman having entered Malaysia.

As far as Najib’s Govt is concerned, Altantuya is STILL MISSING.

Bala the private investigator was missing for a year until he decided to DE-MISS himself

That jambu Saiful of the sodomy II is still Missing.

If this UMNO-led Govt can make two-legged walking and talking human beings go missing, what is so dramatic about a jet engine missing. That’s called petty theft.

You got to give credit those who elected this UMNO-led BN for the David Copperfied magic tricks.

  10. As a rakyat , I now wonder if the reserves in our Malaysian Treasurey is really there or does it only appear on paper just like the jet engines until they were found to be missing ?.

  11. En Jusoh, those ‘assets’ are virtual, that’s why our most efficent kahazanah is also going “paperless”. Kertas pun hilang, atau akan di hilangkan.

  12. Good question, jusoh. For all we know our reserves are all gone by now parked somewhere in a Swiss bank under the name of someone linked to these Umno goons. I am not surprised if such an admission is made by Zeti. She seems so coy and naive. Sucking up to the Umno bosses mah.

  13. “… As a rakyat , I now wonder if the reserves in our Malaysian Treasury is really there or does it only appear on paper just like the jet engines until they were found to be missing ?”-Jusoh

Itu sudah hilang lama dah!! If they can make Bala disappear, Saiful Jambu, literally Altantuya disappear, jet engine disappear, what is “KERTAS”. They can always print more $$$.

Don’t be surprised that when UMNO realises that Pakatan Rakyat has won the Federal Govt in the next GE, Putrajaya might even disappear. Whne Anwar or Zaid goes there, the buildings are not there… and we will have a judicial enquiry under the UMNO lackey Chief Justice Zaki Azmi that will take another 3 years to get the result and then finally blaming of too many Arabs coming into the country on tourist visa. And then when you check with the Immigration, no Arab came to Malaysia to visit, like what they did to the Mongolian’s entry papers.

  14. tok cik,

najib has promised to unveil a new economic model by February 2010. Would you by any chance know if she is from Mongolia too?

  15. these engines disappeared purportedly to iran 2 years ago. the taxpayers who paid for it only learnt about it this week. so lets not talk about a cover up anymore . it was definately sanctioned by the higher ups since it went to iran and second, it had been covered up for the last 2 years already. so another 2 years wont make any difference.

  16. well when you have mongerals dominating in the armed forces and pariah dogs as prime ministers for the last 35 years and one pariah dog for 22 of the 35 years , what else can you expect.

  17. No more Mongolia for Najib. This new model is from Rembau close to Rosmah’s kampong. Hubby can’t play play anymore.

  18. It would help if they tell us whether it was RM 50 million as per the Defence Minister’s statement or RM100 million as disclosed by M’sian Insider today!!

On the face of it, given that it’s two years since the TREASONOUS theft took place, there has been an official cover up. Not the least of it is due to the fact that it was PM Najib who was the long-standing Defence Minsiter when the jet engines were stolen.

More worrying is the news that 1 of the engines was shipped off to Iran together with instructions manuals, in contravention of USA terms and conditions of purchase and UN sanctions.

In 2003, Scomi Plc was involved in manufacturing centriguges for Libya/Iran, again in contravention of UN sanctions.

Has Malaysia, led by naive UMNO and greedy leaders, become mules for procuring defence secrets to Iran? Not only do we have the Ali Baba biz system here, we also have Ali Baba and The Forty Thieves operating as a Govt!!

  19. Harap pagar, pagar makan padi.they have committed treason of the highest order putting the country security in jeorpardy .Having sweared allegiance to the KING and Country yet they are blinded by greed and turned themself into millionaires at the expense of the Rakyat sweats .Not only being sacked is sufficient punishment ,they must be thoroughly investigated, court marshal and if found guilty will have to face firing squad.
