Do MCA and Gerakan really want fresh polls in Perak?

DO MCA & GERAKAN REALLY WANT FRESH POLLS IN PERAK?
I am writing with reference to the article entitled “MCA, Gerakan want fresh polls” (published in http://malaysiakini.com/news/104168) that was published on Malaysiakini today.
It is refreshing to hear some leaders from Barisan Nasional making sense in their statements for a change. Indeed, what they have said actually reflects general opinion that there should be fresh State elections in Perak.
Then again, perhaps these BN leaders are simply weary of the never-ending political imbroglio that seems to be quickly degenerating into a farce. Perhaps they are beginning to realise that something needs to be done desperately before the farce turns Malaysia into a joke in the international community.
I note that the sentiments reported in that article are only the personal views of the Deputy President of MCA and the Secretary-General of Gerakan. What are the parties’ official positions on the Perak issue?
One really wonders whether the leaders of BN component parties have the moral fibre to make their official views public even if they contradict those of the Prime Minister or UMNO.
Indeed, I recall that the MCA President was once notoriously outspoken before he became President and a full minister in the cabinet. Perhaps he has too much at stake to publicly voice an opinion contrary to his political “big brother”. Similarly, what about the President of Gerakan? Is he prepared to make a public stand on the matter?
The question begging to be asked here is whether the component parties of Barisan Nasional are actually equal partners in government or are they simply junior partners that have to kowtow to the senior partner, UMNO.
For the sake of Perak and Malaysia as a whole, I certainly hope that the leaders of all BN component parties will make a stand for the rakyat, speak up and do the right thing, that is table and support a motion at the next BN meeting for fresh State elections in Perak to resolve the constitutional stalemate once and for all.

Anyone with some grey matter between the ears would know that this is nothing more than a PR ploy to gain some traction with the voters.

It is after all May 13th.
It is time to reflect back, to where we were on this day thirty years ago. “Where were you on this day?” is the same question Americans would ask themselves when JFK was shot.
An open letter from Mahathir to Tunku circulated in campus (the only one in the country) serves to remind us.

“Where were you on this day?”
I was learning 2 x 1 = 2 on that day. Few months later we were forced to remember by heart the Rukun Negara. Till today I still enjoy say it. But that is about all. Just enjoy saying it. There are no meaning anymore.
Kepercayaan kepada Tuhan,
Kesetian Kepada Raja dan Negara
Keluhuran Perlembagaan
Kedaulatan Undang Undang
Kesopanan dan Kesusilaan.
BTW, enjoy reading Mahathir’s letter written in old Bahasa Melayu especially this part;
If Tun Mahathir’s blood ” ada dua sudu Pakistani” berapa gelen pula darah Zamri bercampur Karala. Just wonder.
Ketuanan Melayu konon.

China had their Red Book. Indonesia had their Pantjasila and so we had to have something! So why not Rukun Negara. I must admit at the time it sounded similar to what I was used to hear

Those were the early days of social engineering, tean. They toyed with your heads so much you didn’t even know south from north, your head from your ass.

People like Najib ends up licking his own ass.

Jonson still have not got it. The fact remains all servants of UMNO are no more than dogs, and all dogs bark to get food. END OF STORY.

Koh Tsu Khoon and Ong Tee Keat to openly declare support for a call for a new round of elections??? That must be the best version of Grimms Fairy Tale to come from our so-called Malaysian leaders.
In Pulau Pinang, people who dare not speak up or stand against anything that is wrong are always said to be ” BOH LUM PHAR” and you bet your bottom dollar these so-called leaders of component parties of UMNO/BN are just that. A sick lot of grovelling yes-men who are in politics for personal gains. These are people who are ever willing to sell their mothers, sisters, wives and daughters – probably their sons too to their masters so long as they get the money and status. It’s good that the Rakyat now see these scums for what they are – spineless opportunists.
Let us not give these assholes any opportunity to claim that they were the people who were able to “persuade” Najib to OK a referendum of Perakians via a new round of elections. Let it be clear that if the re-election is called, it is the PR and the Rakyat (all of us who have been telling UMNO/BN to bugger themselves off for some time now) who brought Najib to his knees and not this lot of wimps.
Let the next round of elections bring in a truly “People’s Government” in Perak.
