I wished the interviewer had asked his opinion on more specific issues. Is he going to roll back Article 121(1A) of the federal constitution? Is he going to let Muslim converts convert back to the religion of their birth – the issue of a reverse conversion.
I think they should get O’Reilly of the Factor fame (FOX News) interview him.
Anwar has always been a good debater. He knows how to wiggle himself out of tight situations. But that is not what is needed now. He needs to level with us. Say what he means and means what he says.
Yes we really need Anwar as a leader for all Malaysians. DSAI(Anwar) must stand with the right posture, bold to stand up to address even the sensitive issues so that we can find that common ground on religious issues otherwise the uncertainty among communities would remain to be hijacked by politicians.
Nothing must stop to encourage interfaith forum. While all religion must be respected but must be clearly separated from state(politics). This way in fact will elevate religion to be more practised on a personal good.
