Despite the spate of SMS-es counting down the days leading to an “imminent” formation of a new federal government on Sept 16, the prime minister remains unfazed.

And according to Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, neither is the King.

On the sidelines of a function at his office today, the premier said the King has been brought up to speed on the current political situation and has expressed satisfaction with the current government.

abdullah ahmad badawi pak lah pc 050908 03He was responding to a question on whether he had met the King and briefed him on the current situation.

“Whenever I see the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, I do brief the King on what is happening.

“I also assured him, as far as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong is concerned, business is as usual and that we are doing everything to improve our administration.

“We are also helping people cope with the rising costs of oil and goods,” said Abdullah, adding that the King is pleased with the current administration.

‘If they want to go, let them go’

On Barisan Nasional MPs going on a study tour overseas during the week leading to Sept 16, Abdullah replied: “If they want to go, let them go. What has that got to do with Sept 16?”

“It (Sept 16) is not important for them. They are not the ones who will jump ship and leave BN for the opposition.

“They will never abandon their parties and the BN coalition is also their party. We are not a party which has lost and we are still governing the country,” said the premier.

“We will make sure that whatever they (the opposition) wants to do on Sept 16 will not happen. And I don’t think it can happen,” he added.

The opposition, Abdullah explained, are depending very much on BN parliamentarians deserting the coalition.

“Our people will not desert us and give them the advantage of setting up a new government. No!” he stressed.

Earlier, the prime minister launched the Business Licensing Electronic Support System or BLESS – a one-stop online portal that allows simultaneous application of licences, approvals and permits for starting a business in Malaysia.

BLESS is expected to be implemented in four phases.

The first phase which begins immediately would be limited to the Klang Valley catering to the manufacturing sector only.

The hotel and construction sectors are slated to follow by the end of the year. The second phase which begins in July next year would cover all the sectors.

  1. NO we are not, we the rakyat are not happy Mr Prime Minister!
Why are you so dumb, how can you not able to get it or are you just playing dumb and numb?

We want CHANGE and now is the time! We will do it without you of course. You guys are desperate, you can send all your BN MPs away and how long are you going to get them to stay away, and at Tax-payers expense?

  2. It has become typical of the PM to pretend that everything is “business as usual” because like the proverbial 3 monkeys, he sees nothing, hears nothing and does nothing. Let the PM tell his majesty that everything is all right when Anwar takes over Putrajaya on 16 Sept.

  3. Abdullah said. “Who cares about the RAKYAT !!!.
As long as the king happy, I m saved”.

Ha ha ha… Dollah Dollah, nanti kau…

  4. Pak Lah, whatever comes out from your mouth is just the reversible! Let’s see what happens come 916.

  5. “I also assured him, as far as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong is concerned, business is as usual and that we are doing everything to improve our administration.” Badawi.

It’s always business as usual for these Umno morons. See how removed Badawi is from mainstream activities. When reality hits him he’ll still be in a state of denial not shock. Poor fella.

  6. Dear Din,
Great music. How about some Johnny Mathis pieces likr ‘a certain smile, and ‘ wild is the wind’.
A little rest from the political madness of late is good for our soul. By the way,
it is certainly sickening to hear Syed Hamid threatening RPK with the ISA.
I hope when DSAI takes over, a few of these rediculous goons will be given a taste of the ISA before we bury this obnoxious enactment forever.

  7. Like the King I am also happy. I’m happy because of the change that is taking place in the country. And I’m happy to see the desperation and frantic actions taken by many. Yes I’ve never been happier than before. I don’t think I’ll be happy if the 0803 results had gone the usual way like before. So, I’m really really happy.

  8. Dollah u are d ultimate in a line of fools that i came across in ma life …. god bless u for ur ignorance

“our King wuz never happy” u idiot!

    cheers

  9. laaaa…. of course Pak Lah will say and already said ‘the King is happy’. 2 possible situations here; 1/ the dumb Pak Lah voice his words to King smiling photo/potrait and not to the king physically, or 2/ the King is well aware the dumb Pak Lah is cant be bothered creature hence the King just smile knowing Pak Lah is damn dumb and daft that no need any further advice etc.

anyway, the King surely believes no one on earth take Pak Lah words anyway, so why bother disagreeing to Pak Lah!

  10. I wonder if he and Jeanne have packed, and ready to go down the chute of shame? Day reckoning is only days away. Don’t even bother to think of using the rakyat-owned luxury exec jet, it’ll be auctioned off soon to pay for debts!

Malaysian tax-payers don’t see why they should be held responsible for maintaining the jet for the Prime Minister’s use(misuse)!
