| Dr Mahathir : Sodomy again? Gov’t not so stupid |
| July 17, 2008 |
| Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the present government is not “so stupid or unimaginative” to trump up sodomy allegations against Anwar Ibrahim all over again.
“The probability is that the story is the same because it is genuine,” he added in a posting on his CheDet blog today. Mahahir also said it is unlikely that Saiful Bukhary Azlan is trying to mimic the sodomy allegations levelled against Anwar 10 years ago. “Is the present complainant a copycat? Hardly likely,” he said. “Few would care to make public such a very shameful thing as being sodomised. In fact, the last time at least two people came to see me claiming they were sodomised by Anwar. “But they were unwilling to make a report or be witnesses in court. One of them, however, did see the imam of Masjid Negara (Taib Azimuddin, now a PAS MP) to seek advice on the religious angle,” he added. On June 28, Saiful - who was Anwar’s former aide - lodged a police report claiming that the politician had sodomised him. The latter has denied this. However, Mahathir said: “There are certain habits which are not easy to be rid off. Habitual smokers will tell you that. So will drug addicts.” ‘He refused to swear’ He also pointed out that Anwar had “practically refused” to swear on the Quran while Saiful on the other hand was willing to do so in front of religious authorities.
“The Western press has already concluded that this accusation against Anwar is the same old political plot to prevent him from becoming the prime minister. “The last time it was I who was the prime mover. (Prime Minister) Abdullah (Ahmad Badawi) has denied he is involved this time, but the Western press and the American friends of Anwar will not be convinced and will not let him get off the hook,” he added. In 1998, Mahathir had sacked Anwar as his deputy and the latter was subsequently charged for abuse of power and sodomy. Anwar had claimed that the allegations were part of a political conspiracy to oust him. www.malaysiakini.com |
“Surely (the government) could come up with another story which would be more credible if it is deliberately plotting or conspiring against Anwar.
Mahathir also said Anwar can be convincing in his arguments especially with those who want to believe in him.

Bravo to Din Merican for posting this story in your blog. It shows that you are convinced that DSAI is innocent of these claims against, especially coming from a giant forked-tongue snake like this old man who is really the habitual liar (telling lies to cover up more lies). I for one have zero respect for this old man who is way into his last lap of life on earth, but yet who continues to think that he infallible and that Malaysia NEEDS him.
DSAI should fight back all the way to prove his innocence. God knows our country is full of lies – lies upon lies, and we are just so sick of them. Let truth and justice prevail!

Of course, Barry. I work for Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and see him whenever he is in the office, that is when he is not abroad or on some ceramah trip domestically. He and I exchange books and ideas, and discuss his vision and dreams for Malaysia.
Although I am 8 years his senior, I learn a lot of things from him, and read books, mainly the classics, that I would not have cared to do when I was a corporate executive. He treats me as a friend, that is his privilege, but to me, he is my boss always. I respect him for his admirable qualities of courage under fire and true grit, and his intellect. He is an Asian Renaissance man. Read his 1995 book, Asian Renaissance?—Din Merican

“SODOMY AGAIN? GOVT NOT SO STUPID”
In between the lines TDM is admitting the sodomy conspiracy during his time!
The real truth is TDM and his MP son is very afraid of DSAI.

Oracle in Bahasa means “Pak Nujum”. The Late P.Ramlee, the Malaysian entertainer and action, made a movie poking fun at Nujums. It called “Nujum Pak Belalang”, a parody of sorts. You are absolutely right. May his conscience bug him. Thanks, Rusman. Not heard from you in a while.—Din Merican

I want Mahathir to live a long life. May he live another 30 years. I want him to see what he has done to Malaysia.

“The probability is that the story is the same because it is genuine” – Mahathir
Why is he so adamant and so full of grudge against Anwar Ibrahim, has he ever been sodomised by Anwar?
This rogue politician, the curse of UMNO and Malaysia, has destroyed the lives of many during his 22 years of dictatorship. He does not seem to regret any of his evil doings?
Tun Mohamed Suffian, former Lord President of the Federal Court of Malaysia, a very highly respected public figure was spot on when he described Mahathir as one who does not know the meaning of SHAME, he knows no SHAME!
Jong - July 18, 2008 at 3:46 am
eeyaw, very observant! Frankly, all Malaysians knew that the sodomy charge against Anwar Ibrahim a decade ago was trumped up to frame him, by that evil doer and Mr C4, and he does it again!
Jong - July 18, 2008 at 4:04 am
Hello Apanama Che Det, trumped up charges again?
AG Patail, Musa Hassan, apa kata sekarang?
Magistrate, boleh issue warrant tangkap Che Det tak? Sebab cakap bohong dan sekarang mengaku cakap bohong dan buat trump up charges?

We in Singapore have long believed he is clinically senile.
Live another 30 years? All the more pain he will cause all round.
May he drop dead tomorrow!

Jong, another exhibition of the ‘ senile syndrome ‘ and ‘zero conscious’ aptitude of Mahathir. Therefore, it’s not worth to consider.

I too pray that old senile mahathir will live very long and suffer the agony of having brought this nation to such shameful depth.
Each passing day will become painful and this will be the hell he will have to go through. If there is fairness in this universe this will happen. He will have to reap what he sowed in this lifetime itself.

Saudara Din,
Semasa dia memerentah dia pancung timbalan-timbalan dia atas sebab nak buat sesuka hati dia dan nak jadi PM selama mana mungkin. Negara semakin kacau bilau. Orang lain jauh maju kehadapan. Marilah kita semua bangun, mengebeling tena membuat apa saja dan membena Malaysia baru dan majujaya.

go to Jalan Sultan Ismail between Bukit Bintang and Jalan P Ramlee. You will find all kinds of characters,j ust name your desire. I’ve yet to see 15 car load or policemen in balaclava rounding up and arresting these characters.
Malaysia on the way to being a developed nation. How about the transfers of the 4 policemen from Gemas for alleging unequal distribution of Ang Pow? See what the top policeman answer was.

Mahathir is a personification of EVIL. He is merciless, stone hearted and inhuman. The only human thing human about him is his external features. Within, he is a devil in its entirety.
In this ripe old age he should repent of his past sins instead of spewing venom and hatred.
May I ask Mahathir, Abdullah, Najib, Rahim Thamby Chik and Syed Hamid to cast the the first stone at Anwar if they themselves have not sinned.
Since when did sodomy became a sin against humanity?
The whole government is going berserk and insane.
In any civilized country this would have been a non-issue.
Mr Smith - July 19, 2008 at 2:08 am
Mr Smith, I can’t agree more.
The more cries of “wolf wolf” is going to backfire. Malaysians are getting sick of this insane UMNO govt, stooping low to get at Anwar, all because of their hunger for continued power.
Even supporters from their camps are packing off as we write, to throw their support behind Anwar Ibrahim and this is not exaggerated, it’s real! They may claim to have the power but it’s people’s power matters.
They can lock up tens of Anwars and Raja Petras but they can no longer live proudly, with the ground below them eroding away sooner than they know.
Jong - July 19, 2008 at 3:29 am
Jong,
RPK used to say that there is a kinda of “dualism” in things we do.
Look at it this way. You could say that we spent a sum of money to advertise Malaysia, as in the Twin Towers. This senseless act of persecuting Anwar and other opposition members has made the world known what we are all about for the wrong or right reasons as you may see it. It’s still costing us money if the equity market is then affected plus other related cascades.
Malaysians will make their own conclusions what the leaders they have elected done for them … and not much so far is enriching …culturally or otherwise…

In the Star papers today Sat. 19 July 2008, our PM says “the DNA sample the authorities have is too old so they need a new sample”.
I would like to point out that DNA which was taken from a blood sample which was inside the proboscis of a mosquito which had bitten a dinosaur 65 million years ago had shown that the DNA configuration remained intact after 65 million years and could still be reused to rebuild an entire dinosaur from the DNA sequence. IN OTHER WORDS DNA DOES NOT DEGENERATE WITH TIME. So in the case of DSAI it is NOT necessary for a fresh sample of blood for DNA to be done eventhough the DNA studies and configuration was done 10 years ago. There is no necessity to repeat a DNA on DSAI.
The only reason I can think of as to why the present Govt. insists on a fresh DNA to be done is because they want to confuse the minds of the Rakyat that if DSAI is innocent, then why didn’t he give in to the authorities to do the DNA test? But the Govt. forgot that the Rakyat’s mind is not that of 10-20 years ago. They are matured now and am able to think and reason for themselves and have come to the conclusion that DSAI is innocent!

“Since when did sodomy become a sin against humanity?” Mr Smith
Now that someone is asking, I feel compelled to give homosexuality some historical and religious context to it.
It brings to mind the story of Sodom and Gomorrah – the story about God destroying evil, sometimes cited as the biblical justification against homosexuality. Ancient Israelites view homosexuality as an “abomination” even though it was acceptable in neighboring cultures. It could be explained in terms of the sacredness of having children in their view, and sex that did not produce offspring was therefore considered sinful.
Earlier Noah got God to promise not to destroy again everyone after the last Great Flood. But evil was everywhere in the city of Sodom in the form of unspecified sexual depravity – sexual crimes are gathered under the catch-all term ‘sodomy’. But God decided to do away with some of His troublesome creations and had the city of Sodom destroyed.
Though some may argue that sodomy is not necessarily by itself a crime against God but depraved sexual depravity is – and included among the sexual crimes is the kind of sex that does not produce offspring.
Didn’t God say to Adam and Eve, “Go forth to populate the earth!”
To some this is a blanket approval by God for the crime of incest!
So much for casting that first stone! There isn’t enough stones to cast.
Mr Bean - July 19, 2008 at 2:02 pm
Sensitive issue, Bean! I tried that before, asked the same question and it offended those who merely ‘follow’, without question. I cannot understand it till today. Let’s not go into religion, we might end up quarelling.
Jong - July 19, 2008 at 5:11 pm
Nur,
This request for a fresh blood sample from Anwar for DNA unnecessary and suspect. This is the same govt that messed him up 10 yrs ago on trumped up charges, remember? This govt and its police force and judiciary has lost all credibility. If it involves your own family members, would you trust them?
